Landscape as Muse: The Forest with Peter von Tiesenhausen (2005)
Peter von Tiesenhausen does not consider himself to be an eco-artists, land artist, abstract artist, yet he is all of them by working with whatever comes to mind. We watch as he constructs various projects using different materials and original techniques. Along the way, he elucidates his personal insights as to the personal divinity that dwells within us all.
As humans we construct our own reality, but we make a real grave mistake when we think that the land isn't watching or paying attention. As we walk with him through the forest, he shares with us his personal philosophy of his connection, and the connection of all of humanity, with the forest. He uses the landscape for his artwork because it is the thing he understands the best.
