Give and Take: A Yoga Exploration of Asteya

Available worldwide

Instructor Nico Luce will guide you through active hip and shoulder openers in this 50-minute Vinyasa Flow class. Embody Asteya (non-stealing) by trading effort for sensitivity and balancing intensity with sensory perception.

Using peak poses, like Wild Thing and Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (King Pigeon), you will discover that each action has an impact, a lesson that is truly at the heart of understanding Asteya.

Nico uses 2 blocks and a bolster for this class.

WOW! What a shift in thinking you presented to me. It is crucial and ok-at times to NOT give 150%, to be gentle to myself. It is important to use my energy in a productive efficient way, not to waste it on the "doing". I could never have learned this truth on my own. It's not weak to know how to and do-take care of myself properly,. This is courageous and brave. I do not have to push myself 150% all the time. It is ok to be at 50% sometimes or even 0%. Great shift in logic, how liberating!! THANK YOU!!!

Thank you so much for sharing. I loved the practice. I love how you so easily and mindfully bring the yoga philosophy into the physical practice. It is so often missing. I love your classes. Namaste Orla

This class provided me with the perfect space to explore balancing effort and ease in my postures, in both my body and in my mind. Finding the ease, the comfort, that is the challenge for me. Thank you Nico for this beautiful practice. I will take these teachings off the mat and into my daily life. Namaste.
