In a view of planet earth the color green is not just a color, but the epitome of life itself. The green that increases the romance of the rains enlivens the spirit – the lack of which could prove life-threatening and wipe out entire populations. Grasslands are intrinsic to survival, home to many. Every year the grasslands witness torrential rains and a seasonal drought. The animals that live here have adapted to dry, windy conditions. Given the lack of hiding places for predators, the African Savannah supports a much greater diversity of wildlife than do temperate grasslands.
