All of the best documentaries, that I am interested in are not available in Slovenia. It is very disappointing. I thought that i would have access to everything that is on Gaia.

I thought this film was excellent. I was wondering what was causing me to gain weight even as I exercised. Today I will go through the food in my house and eliminate those foods I know are causing me problems. I have known for a long time that sugar was one of them. I also love the fact that this film spoke to the mental factor associated with obesity. Excellent information Gaia. Thank you.

That is what this video did for me. A very informative, interesting view from many that have struggled and share with us why eating healthy works, as well as professionals in their field that offer wisdom worth adapting into our lives!

Possible to allow this to be viewed worldwide?? Say only for Canada and U.S. . Would love to watch but can't. Isn't this information that would benefit everyone globally?? Thanks.

This caught my eye because I've started a lifestyle change overhauling my diet - eliminating all processed foods, gluten and dairy...The food industry is poisoning us! Very on point....

This is just what I needed to hear right now. I found myself pausing the movie just so I cooked take notes. Highly recommended!

I REALLY ENJOYED INHALING THIS ALL OVER AGAIN! YOU CANNOT EVER HEAR THIS KNOWLEDGE ENOUGH, ESPECIALLY IN OUR BUSY LIFESTYLES WE'VE ALL GROWN ACCUSTOM TO! YES, I'VE HEARD THIS BEFORE, BUT AS WISDOM TEACHES US, "WHEN THE STUDENT IS READY, THE TEACHER WILL APPEAR!" ... IN THIS CASE, I WILL REPHRASE IT AND ADD, THE TEACHER WILL "REAPPEAR!" I BELIEVE WISDOM KNOCKS THROUGHOUT OUR LIFE, NOT JUST WHEN WE ARE READY. ;-) JUS'-SAY'N. (lol)

If this film could be shown to everyday people eating a typical diet--I think it would really open their eyes and their mind to investigate what they eat further. This film is a great resource.

Gaiam subscribers, I'd guess, already "get" this, so it's like "preaching to the choir."

I think a lot of the information in this is well researched but a lot isn't... The blaming msg for obesity might make sense when you look at the mice... but it really doesn't when you look at the humans in the east that put it on everything. They really don't get fat until they move to the west (not saying it's good for you but I think humans are a better reference than a 4 ounce rodent). They also seem to demonize sugar and starches they occasionally refer to highly processed sugars (which I agree with) but it wasn't very clear in distinguishing carbohydrate sources and values which makes a HUGE difference in energy, vitality and weight loss. I'm not sure if it was lost in the editing room or if it was intended to have these bias' but I do think overall the message is good but it could be misleading to someone that doesn't have a well rounded education on health and nutrition.

Enjoyed this documentary. Wish I could convince my family to watch this documentary at our next family gathering, which are allows center around food.

Any suggestion on the best affordable blender for juicing?

deangela, posted on July 16, 2013

My friends swear by Brevilla's for juicing (some are very moderately priced between $100 & $200 and up to $1000 for home use you really only need a less expensive one that's easy to clean; which it is). For smoothies Blendtec or Vitamix are the best (look for one that's refurbished they are really built well, it'll last you for years anyway). Myself I'm more on a budget and a smoothie person (I love to get lots of fiber in a day, most people need at least 25 grams of fiber/day or more and a juicer gives you almost NONE) so I swear by the Magic Bullet; it's super easy to clean, I can put a lid on it to take to work, I even make my cat's food in it :). To track what you need for nutrients I can't refer this site enough http://cronometer.com/ you can just use it online for free (occasionally you have to click on the page when the pay advertisement comes up to make it go away) it's a fantastic site. If you need some smoothie recipes let me know I'd be happy to share!
