The Hungry Corpse (2013)

Available worldwide

A short tale set in London’s bustling yet desolate Trafalgar Square about an ancient, rather hungry corpse and . . . a pigeon. This animated tale of companionship is remarkable for its animation style – a textural imprint of a dark, monochrome London from the perspective of a still, solitary protagonist.

Stephen Mangan, Bill Nighy
Gergely Wootsch

Hungry for food but he could not eat, he was hungry for friendship and he got his fill. A beautiful story.

I didn't care for this one. Didn't make sense to me.

This popped up on my home screen and I decided to watch it because I am a fan of gloomy little films. I was surprised at how well put together this is. It is charming, funny, and heartfelt. I did tear up a little bit at the end. Give it a watch!

how much would you sacrifice for friendship? This film is entertaining, funny and gave me much to think about. Just read that a second film on these characters will be out in August. Hopefully Gaiam will also show this one. highly recommend!
