Jack Parsons: Jet Propelled Antichrist (2006)

Available worldwide

This is the story about one of the fathers of modern rocketry and a founder of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory which still leads the way in the development of rockets and the exploration of space. Its founder, Jack Parsons, was also an occultist and a sorcerer who followed the teachings of Aleister Crowley. After repeated investigations by the FBI, he died at the age of 38 in a mysterious explosion that made headlines around the US. Officially it was a tragic scientific accident — other interpretations of the event persist to this day.

Jack Parsons was interesting, no arguments there. Yet the real figure of fascination in this saga is Cameron. While there is a rather good biography, and Curtis Harrington's marvelously evocative short film - both titled Wormwood Star - it would be wonderful to see a full length documentary on Cameron.

But a little beyond that.

I admire the work that went into this documentary, but I feel the details of black magic rituals(not that I'm a fan of black majik ) we're glossed over and made to seem like an amusing hobby, not the Giant network of fellow occultist which he was most assuredly inspired by in his professional work. If you're already familiar with Jack Parsons I wouldn't recommend it. If you've never heard of him , this is a quality summation of his life and work. Much thanks for the work put into this. It's a lot better than I could do. I take that back, If you already know Jack Parsons definitely watch this. There was a lot I never knew that was in this beautifully orchestrated homage.

WOW....I am always amazed at how genius (which we all have) is expressed both Consciously and Subconsciously.
