Throw out everything you think you know about history. Close the approved textbooks, turn off the corporate mass media, and whatever you do, don’t believe anything you hear from the government.

The Rise of the Fourth Reich reveals the truth about American power. Where are the closed captions required by FCC?

MichalL@Gaia, posted on February 9, 2015

Dear @abby6, Thank you for your comment. Currently, the FCC regulations in regards to closed captioning are nebulous in regards to internet content. However, GaiamTV is in the process of captioning our library to both provide accessibility for our subscribers and comply with anticipated changes and clarifications to current FCC regulations. As you can imagine, given our vast amount of content, this is quite an undertaking. We want to be sure that the captioning we provide to our subscribers is of the highest quality and accuracy.

All of our new original shows are captioned as they are published and we welcome comments on currently uncaptioned content to help us prioritize captioning delivery.

Thank you again, Michall@GTV

I have watched a lot of the videos. I understand most of them if I rewind. Can I help put captions on them? Is this like You-Tube Vimeo? I have a sample of my work on my YouTube Channel and on Pinterest under "Aloha Captioning." I have not been paid for this type of work but at one time I did work doing transcriptions. I am wiling to do a certain amount of work for free, but not forever for free, because it is a lot of work.

FCC says they only require captioning of shows already offered on TV. I responded I have not watched TV since 2009, when I disposed of the last TV. No response from FCC. I do not think the FCC's policy is ethical because your programs were never on TV and they need to be accessible. I have time. How can I contribute to your project? It can take me a few hours to work through a one hour or less (45 min for instance) film but if you allow me to contribute as a volunteer perhaps we can speed this up. This content is important for people to have. I would like to also have a transcript with urls embedded in it, so that any time an author or expert rattles off a reference we can go and google that by clicking since many of us are watching these shows sitting at a desk and holding a mouse. I am, because it's the only way I can "hear." When there are references to specific books, it has always been very useful to be able to click on a link or google one or two keywords then download the whole book in a new tab and begin reading! That also builds networks and bridges between Gaiam and other successful businesses online.

Some of the topics are as George Noory says, "Beyond Belief." Even more reason for closed captions--they make it easier to printscreen postscreen and share quotes. if you want my transcription service, I would like to work on this with you.

Thank you for your kind offer. Our system does not support voluntary captioning and, due to our desire to comply with FCC quality regulations for captions as well as the time involved in thoroughly quality checking voluntary captions to verify that they meet those standards (a process which we have tested in the past), we choose not to pursue the use of volunteer-based captioning at this time.

However, you can be assured that we are dedicated to making our website as accessible as possible. We will certainly take your suggestions into account with any further development we do.

I've expected all along that something is happening to America, and now I know I'm right. It seems to me that most people are being led around by their noses with fluffy stories and shows to keep them quiet and led to believe all is well. Their not even aware that they aren't even thinking for themselves anymore. Very good information to wake people up and to take charge of themselves.
