This was awesome. Such an intense instructor at times haha! Can really feel the energy after practicing

DivineLightHealer, posted on March 22, 2016

This was my first time watching this video as I usually watch videos from YouTube. I find it interesting how each instructor has a different style of teaching. Although I prefer other videos this was definitely the most challenging set I've done. My base chakras though feel wonderful and I definitely experienced more clearing in my third eye. Full body tune up is definitely the proper title. I look forward to coming back to this videos in the future. Sat Nam

Wonderful energizing full kundalini class. Can't wait to do more of her classes on Gaia.

I just did this one yesterday and the effects still have me feeling powerful and positive and so very strong! I will definitely keep coming back to your amazing Kundalini practices. Thank you!

This practice got my heart rate going, engaged many different muscles, and got my mind out of a serious funk! I used to shy away from Kundalini yoga when I first started practicing because it felt strange to me. Now that I've been practicing for a while, I've found that, for me, Kundalini yoga has the most far-reaching effects. Gloria's classes never fail to motivate and inspire, and leave me feeling balanced and powerful. As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, I greatly appreciate the physical and mental health benefits of this type of practice. Thank you, Gloria. You are a life-changer. Sat Nam.

I thought yoga was supposed to be relaxing. What's with the yelling?

This is a fantastic practice for a sweaty workout that gets you out of your head. I love Gloria's classes.

Thank you, Gloria. I don't normally practice this way, but I encouraged myself to (for some reason) and now I know why. That was very powerful. Much love and blessings.

Sat Nam, Gloria! Thanks for this good live class! Although you taught it at the evening ;-) - I am now all ready and energized to start my day! :-) Namaste!

@Yogidee This draws from a number of sets. You won't find it written anywhere exactly as is. It's a bit "unorthodox"

In which book can I find this kriya, I would like to teach it. I cannot find any set called " set for shakti energy" I would really appreciate your assistance in directing me to this kriya. Sat Nam manjeet

I always love your classes Gloria, they leave me feeling inspired and strong. I love how you remind us that we are strong in doing lots of these postures and reminding our selves of being strong will help us be that way. Thank you so much for your teaching style and way of being.

Loved this class, but I was whipped halfway through! Can't wait to practice again! Question: I found myself breathing Ujjayi out of habit (only faster than my usual). Is this ok, or should I try to drop Ujjayi?

dessaraven1, posted on February 1, 2013

Absolutely love it! A perfectly sweaty kundalini yoga class, deeply healing. Many blessings!

The instructor's voice is unbearable.

Great class but I also couldn t do at all with the (quite unnecessary) shouting.

Love this woman. Another one of her classes that is going to my FAV's. But I hate the chanting :)

livingtolearn, posted on August 6, 2012

Your practices never cease to challenge me! :) But they center me and bring me back to joy, even as the world around me spins with stress. I feel cleansed and renewed. I already knew I loved Kundalini from the moment I first tried it, but each time I practice it connects me to myself again. Thank you for your amazing practices, that keep that fire burning inside alive.

Yes this is yoga! This is called SET FOR SHAKTI ENERGY. Kundalini: the most ancient form of yoga. And yes, she might sound like screaming, but everyone has their own style. And again, remember this is a live class with a big room full of people, therefore she needs to project loud & clear. It is hard to tape a live class with a soft voice- those in the back will not hear you. Unless you do it with professional sound system. I was glad to see this sequence, as I have never before seen it on video. It can also be modified and done a little slower. But in general she did a great job, it's a challenging Kundalini sequence both to teach as well as to perform. "This is an aerobic set that strenghtens the 3 important systems: glandular, immune, and nervous systems: Glandular, Immune, and Nervous systems.. As you chant, the tongue strikes the upper palate, stimulating the hypothalamus- the master gland that controls the mind-body connection. This set empowers your sense of self and helps you feel light and blissful. Meditation afterward is effortless." -from Yoga for Women by Shakta Kaur Khalsa

I love this video and I think she is an amazing teacher!! I've been doing kundalini for years, I teach it as well ..... she's brings such a west coast energetic feel to it, I like her style.

Yogateacher2, posted on May 1, 2011

Tried to complete this video but the shouting was irriating. I have done Kundalini before and they never needed to shout...it was more an inner awareness felt too much like an aerobics class.

nicolemh, posted on March 20, 2011

This is my favorite class! Great aerobic workout, I would really like to see more like this!

Lovely energizing and uplifting KUNDALINI yoga class. I think the person who posted the comment about it not being yoga has never experienced this type of yoga. It's some powerful stuff!

naturalyogini, posted on November 6, 2010

To the poster who said that this is not yoga is thinking with a hatha yoga mind. This is kundalini yoga and it can be very aerobic OR very passive depending on the set (kriya) Kundalini yoga is known as the queen of all yoga. It can transform you like nobody's business in a short amount of time. It is the most spiritual and phsycial of all of the yoga types. I personally want much more of this! Do kundalini yoga for 40 days and it will change you!.

ryansteer, posted on October 28, 2010

At best aerobics at worst dangerous! Clearly the teacher has no idea what yoga actually is, a real shame. Less of this please.

Really did not enjoy this class at all. Her voice is not soothing and her chanting is jarring. I would recommend other classes.

I have never done Kundalini and I too found this energising and fun. My husband thinks I'm crazy but I feel great.

I was a little depressed or something today and thought I wanted something slow and relaxing - but tried this instead. Never have taken kundalini before, and while the chanting and singing is not so much for me, the rest of it was really cool, and what a work out - and stress reliever! I love the movements - very strong, simple, and challenging, so you feel a bit martial and fluid at the same time. And I loved that Gloria didn't talk a lot or philosophize (i guess you really can't with this style!). loved it.

Pea_2, posted on August 21, 2010

sorry but I cant stand the way she shouts the instructions! Not relaxing at all. :(

Great to experience something very different for me. It's not my usual style, however I tried to approached it with an open heart and mind. Thanksx

I too loved this class!! I enjoyed the energy and strength of Gloria's voice, and I felt cleansed and energized for the rest of the day. Now I am back, eager to participate again. Even with a weak lower back, I was able to benefit from this class - I just modified some exercises to suit me.

Loved this so much, new to Kundalini, and fell in love.
Thank you.

alexfisch, posted on August 16, 2010

Fantastic! I think what might be irritating to those leaving negative feedback is that the class is shot naturally - without the lights and sound sweetening of a regular video but that is EXACTLY right for this class! It's real and makes you feel so free. The energy of Gloria's students is an amazing addition to her powerful teaching. LOVE this class. THANK YOU. A great addition!

monkluge, posted on August 15, 2010

I'll agree with the boot camp training. I love her other kundalini videos....maybe the live group made the difference.

What a great class! I'm 58 and a yoga novice, and this class was exactly what I needed this morning to blast through some very negative energy. Thank you for offering such a wide variety of opportunities for us to learn and grow.

bpinto, posted on August 11, 2010

I find this very poor class, instructor is more worried about adjusting her ipod, poor quality of teaching, I have seen better kundilini classes. sorry. this is my opinion. also very irritating. total turn off. I will recommend not to show this class anymore, and ruin your good name. my yoga on line so far is the best. one instructor can ruin everything. so cancel this class right away. thanks. blanche.

gypsyalanar, posted on August 11, 2010

Most Kundalini Yoga teachers have that fierceness in their voices during kriyas. I believe it is to challenge the students & not let their minds try to talk them out of doing the specific kriya. My mind does that to me sometimes...I am mindful of my body so I challenge myself at my own pace. The kriyas are designed to be fast paced & work with the breathe of fire-kapalabati. Maybe Kundalini isn't for some.
I personally loved it! I had an emotional & physical release!! Pouring sweat!! They did describe a full body workout & deep release. Just what I needed. Namaste' & Thanks Gloria!!

A great class. I had to take a few breaks because I'm not so experienced with Kundalini, but at the end I was energized and felt amazing.
