Kundalini Yoga Strengthening The Heart Center

This short Kundalini practice with Gloria Latham works to strengthen, open, and create clarity in the chest and heart center. The heart chakra, (energy center located in the chest) governs trust, forgiveness, and unconditional love. On a physical level this center governs the blood and circulatory system, lungs and diaphragm, thymus gland, and breasts.

Gloria is the most transformational yoga instructor I've found, even her short practices like this one make a huge impact to my day - and don't give me an excuse to say "I don't have time" - everyone has 10 minutes in their day.

I've been doing this daily for the past week trying to move through some emotional trauma that's been heavy in my heart center. This has been so potent in giving me the strength I need to move through it and heal. Thank you deeply.

I think many people are too unfamiliar with the loving benefits of Kundalini. This short practice will help me with pushing out my anxiety and also TBI issues and thyroid disease due to brain fog and fatigue. Thank you.

Love i!! These are such nice practices.. a new style to my yoga.. but love them. Feeling the goodness of the movement!! Do you have any routines for the thyroid gland?? I did the adrenal workout, knowing that they thyroid and adrenals work closely together. Any specific for the thyroid would be helpful to. Thanks!

Sat Kartar" means Doer of the Truth. It also means God is the Doer in everything. Here is a link to learn more about the mantra and the correct arm positions.http://www.satkartarmusic.com/Meditations/satkartar.html

Thank you for an awesome short practice. Really revs me up, but leaves me feeling calm, too.

I have the beginning stages of COPD. I adjust the time to my ability. This is great for breathing! I love this routine. During some of the routine I became so involved in the breathing my daughter had to tell me to move on to the next step! Wonderful video!

Hi sylviara
Here is a response to your mantra inquiry from Gloria Latham, who teaches this practice:

\" I don’t think we can ever create a 100% accurate translation of any mantra. Mantras are created to have a vibrational effect on the body. I really hesitate to translate them, and ask students to tune into how they feel after reciting the mantra, knowing that we would never ask them to chant something inappropriate. The words are always used to evoke feelings of love and peace. This particular mantra is used to open the heart center, and open the heart to the flow of love.\"
