Episode 4
Only available in Canada, United States

Brendan takes a river boat to an ancient cave housing damaged Buddha statues to offer candles he received from the astrologist he met in Burma. Inside the cave, he finds Sensai Sticks, which tell him a shocking fact – he has no future!

Arriving in Luang Prabang, Brendan wants to follow the advice given by the Channelor he met in Northern Thailand: Freeing caged birds, feeding the poor and meditating in temples. Just over the border, Brendan finds a remarkable Sculpture Park where the Buddhist Cycle of Life is shaped out of concrete.

Next, he reaches Cambodia and heads to Siem Reap, the home of Ankor Wat, and a clairvoyant monk who lives among the ruins. Before going in search of him, he arranges a reading and cleansing ceremony with another monk who claims special powers.

I really enjoyed watching these episodes! The camera work was just astounding, capturing footage that brought the scenes of India, Thailand, Burma and Laos to life. I felt like I was there--or want to be there! Not only did the footage carry the storyline forward, it also allowed the audience to get a secret view of the private lives of the nuances and normalities practiced in those cultures. The observations made by the narrator were non-judgemental, openminded, and did not lead to definitive conclusions, allowing the audience to come up with their own thoughts.
Thank you for taking the time to compile these episodes. Very inspirational, and it gives me motivation to continue with my vision to travel the world and make my own documentaries.

Seeing all these fortunetellers will make a person have a very jaded view afterward :( Plus these suggestions and negativity with these readings bother me. I am very very careful as to what person I see for a reading. Some readers are terrible. Often enough I don't always accept what I am told and look at as nonsense. I determine what I do, the only thing is what I am told is a possibility that is all.

This concept of Buddhism, fortune telling and Thailand is one that fascinates me. Thoroughly thought provoking and enjoyable. Thank you!
