Omega: Life as Reality: Learning True Love (Sister Chan Khong Cao NP) (1998)

Buddhist Sister Chan Khong Cao, who worked closely with Thich Nat Hanh for more than 30 years, explains that the word perception is very important in Buddhism. When you look at her, she says, you perceive her as an image in your head, which is not her reality. Buddha said that when you perceive, it is always partial perception; the reality of the person is much deeper.

When we perceive wrongly, we suffer and cause suffering. We must learn to practice peace in order to be still and listen deeply to the other person, and discover the parts hidden from us. For her, Buddhism is the art of living your life deeply and working to see things with deep understanding. Therese Fitzgerald interviews Sister Chan Khong Cao for Omega Presents.

What a beautiful person. Instantly when I started watching this, a deep sense of calm and gratitude for people like her being in this world came over me. The inspiration she offers encourages me to live her message.

The way she dealt with the impermanence of her mother and the message she passed on to her was beautiful.

Her answer to the questions are clear, short and deep. She sees things clearly and is able to use simple words to express her wisdom. She looks simple but in depth she is a great personality.

Her wisdom is great, because she is humble, peaceful and has a very clear way of thinking and exposing her thoughts.

Excellent interview. Congratulations.
