Thank you! My mom has osteoporosis and pain in the lumbar region. I was looking to help her and this was very informative.

Thank you - and here I thought I was a wimp when bending my knees. I now feel the difference and am looking forward to a healthier lower back.

Another great video. I find I want to round my back at the end of my forward bends (say, after I've warmed up by doing several with a straight back). I do it to get the stretch in the back of my hamstrings. Could you recommend a pose to get that hamstring stretch that doesn't require the rounding in the back?

As a physiotherapist who teaches her patients how to do yoga, this is a great resource. Thank you.

Can't believe how much I've learned about avoiding lower back issues in just three of Jesse's tips. Yay!

Yes the audio is low at times but the information is excellent and very clear.

Great information, especially in light that I have lower back pain and despite practicing yoga for almost a year, my lower back pain has not improved much. I\'ve attended classes locally and seen videos where the instruction is to keep your legs straight while doing a forward bend. I appreciate the anatomical insight Jesse offers and look forward to more of his videos

were i to watch this video five years ago, i might not have needed disc surgery. there are many yoga postures that help with lumbar problems, and most of them involve a concave rather than a convex back. all therapists and doctors though taught me to round my back, bring knees into the chest, etc, which only pushed the discs more into the spine. this is a great little video.
