I've had about two hours sleep and woke up with all kinds of kinks in my spine and after doing this I feel AMAZING!! Fully charged and with a spine that feels like liquid. I did some extra poses after the video and they felt soooooooo goooooooooood!!! Going to do this every day. Thank you!

I've been doing this almost every day for a few weeks now, and love how quickly it gets the suppleness back into my spine and wakes me up. It is doable even when I'm barely awake and lacking in energy, and leaves me feeling energized. Want to give this to everyone I know!

Stevel4, posted on December 10, 2015

Brekfast of Champions is superior for getting tha Kundalini flowing. Only reason I gave it a three is so folks go to that. Thanks Tommy. Great work as always.

A great way to wake up this morning! I have had several back injuries and have been able to return to yoga due to a beet supplement which has drastically reduced inflammation and pain. With this as a regular practice, and me beet pill, I know I'll beat back suffering!

Ive been struggling with SI joint pain for a while now and recently its gotten to the point where Im just jamming and I can't get it out. This morning I decided to do my stretching and then find a nice yoga practice to wake up too - This was the video that just happened to be on my screen, so why not! 1st of all - I feel awesome. 2nd - this is a perfect practice to add to my routine to help me. Im feel like I can move so much better ALREADY! 3rdly after I finished the practice, I picked up my yoga journal magazine which was right next to my laptop and guess whose on the cover!! Kia Miller.
Thank you both for letting me discover this and you both - I guess there is a reason I have stumbled on you both so present in my life today --- 7am -- I wonder what the purpose is!
Namaste - Yogini who struggles daily with back pain and is WAY too young! :-) xxxx Happy

I did this class a year ago and then couldn't remember the instructor or class title to go back to it, so I was thrilled when I tried it again today and realized THIS WAS THE ONE I meant to put in my playlist. This is so good. I typically work a seated desk job and focusing on spine health is an absolute must for me. I love Tommy and Kia in this video. I highly recommend this and it is definitely in my playlist now! Thank you thank you thank you!

I thoroughly enjoyed how this practice enlivened my spinal energy. Find myself chuckling over their husband/wife dynamic in this video and others, especially when Kia is the teacher. Namaste~

Hi - It looks like video issues were reported in January. The video still doesn't play consistently on the iPad. The visual will stop, but the audio keeps going.

I can't tell you how many times I've done this class. I absolutely LOVE it! I do have a bad back and find this exceptionally useful in healing. Even when I had a difficult time walking, I would do this practice and gradually my back would release. Now that my back feels great, I do this class often as preventative maintenance along with paying attention to how I lift things (no twisting). Thank you so much for a wonderful morning ritual Tommy. Words cannot describe how much I appreciate it.

I love that vidéo but the problem that have it's the vidéo stop a lot of time and I have difficulty to play it again I don't know if I am the only one or if others persons have the same problem

jennifer.bonnell, posted on January 10, 2015

Hi there - using my iPad the video didn't work properly for this session. The audio worked, so that's how I completed the practice, but luckily I'm familiar with the sequence and style. Not sure what's up with the video player - every now and the the picture would start, then pause, but the audio continued uninterrupted. Just thought I'd let the tech folks know. Otherwise, a beautiful morning practice!

HeidiV@Gaia, posted on January 12, 2015

We appreciate you letting us know. We are working on it!

Hi there - I still can't access this video properly in the iPad....I'm sure you're working on it, but thought I'd let you know that it's still a problem on my end! There are lots of great videos to choose from here, so I'm hardly inconvenienced, but I do like this one for a quick morning practice so any way you can fix it would be appreciated!

And thank you Kia for purposefully demonstrating a slower and gentler pace for the student that felt that was best for their body, today.

Oh wow, my spine never felt so good in the morning

sarah-john, posted on November 2, 2014

Wow! That was the easiest chaturanga I've ever done! I usually struggle with alignment and really dislike the pose.

farnell.jennifer, posted on October 25, 2014

The sequences are great, and I really feel the effects. However, the instructor is so irritating and smug. And his poor obedient wife... When she thanks him at the end, I want to shout at the screen! I do love the exercises though, so I keep watching :)

plum3boys, posted on October 4, 2014

Wonderful start to the day, thanks!

ginasandi, posted on September 8, 2014

Great practice that makes you feel great! Too bad that the teacher speaks throughout the practice though... it's hard to concentrate in your inner self when the teacher keeps talking...

wemats, posted on September 4, 2014

I will definitely be keeping this in my rotation, especially for mornings when I'm feeling a little less flexible than usual. Great Kundalini warm-up ending with a few sun salutations to make you feel fantastic and ready to move throughout your day.
Thank you!

This is wonderful. I struggle with alot of upper back and neck tightness and this frees me up - I do it every morning and have seen results. My body feels like its full of energy afterwards.

I've done a different Yoga video everyday this week, looking for the one to both energize me and help with back pain, and I finally found it. Tommy Rosen is my new favorite instructor! Thank you!

I had an awful, sharp pain in my upper back since the afternoon before I tried this one morning. I had a terrible sleep that night, as I kept waking up in significant pain. Lucky that this was the morning routine I tried for the first time the next day - I felt amazing for the entire rest of the day afterwards! This is the most transformative a 20 minute workout has ever been.

cjdaniels, posted on March 3, 2014

Every day that starts with this series feels better than the last. My spine is soo thankful!

cjdaniels, posted on February 23, 2014

Five stars are insufficient to convey the magnificence of this sequence. Have a great day!

lulu_lani, posted on February 10, 2014

Great morning workout. Opens up your spine. You are as old as your spine is so why not "wake it up" each morning too?

madisonknight521, posted on February 7, 2014

I am only 20 years old and deal with great upper back pain daily. I have yet to see a doctor to find out why exactly but have been managing through working out. This yoga opens my back incredibly. It will definitely be a daily fixture in my life now. Thank you so much for sharing such great technique, I can't believe how quick and easy it is. I feel completely ready for my day after doing this quick routine.

debflak, posted on November 27, 2013

I want to thank you so much for this video, I have been experiencing major back problems from an old injury and have had such difficulty getting better. This video has helped me strengthen my back and I am still working on it but wow what a difference. I feel better every time I practise this. I would recommend this to anyone who has back problems.

I get a rush to the head its really weird , when we have to hold the breath after an exercise , why is that? (I'm not out of breath or anything ) but it is a weird sensation. my stomach makes strange sounds even if I did not eat so i guess it works the digestive system pretty good as well!

Gaiam_TV, posted on April 10, 2013

Part of the reason we feel a head rush is because we are pulling a lot of oxygen in during these exercises. Of course holding the breath and straining a bit can cause this as well. When I hold the breath, it is really more of a pause than anything else. I am gentle in the pausing of my breath.
As for the belly, well, yes, we are working the digestive tract especially through breath of fire and other postures that have us moving and contracting the core. Hoping you are enjoying the series. Best, --Tommy Rosen

This is the first time I have done Kundalini it is a great way to wake up. I have small children and usually get off to a pretty slow start so this feels great. And my spine has recently been put though pregnancy, nursing and like Tommy have had a number of back issues and the waking the upper spine feels AWESOME!! Thanks Gaiam, this will definately be part of my morning rountine instead of just coffee!

bostonbean, posted on February 18, 2013

I suffer from TMJ disorder and have extremely tight shoulders and neck. This was a wonderful way to bring energy to areas that are usually stagnant.

Estelle, posted on February 6, 2013

Simple, short, concise and useful. This is a wonderful morning practice. Glad to find this and will use again, often. He does a wonderful job of explaining and I love that it's a husband/wife team. I like that he explains this helped him with a back injury and also encourages to just do as much as we can do. He's adorable laugh when thanked at the end was a cherry on top. Thank you for having this, Gaiam!

lovely95, posted on December 27, 2012

Excellent, very energizing yet seems simple but with the breathing and the movement, you really feel energized and I especially like that it is so good for my spine and hope I do this one often.

MamaSteph, posted on December 17, 2012

I absolutely love this way to wake up. Energizes the breath and makes my back/spine come alive. This is a great practice for keeping the spine healthy during pregnancy.. Too bad I can't do the entire salutation!
