Great way to start off the day even if you don't have the time for a full hour yoga session. It is a good centering morning ritual.

Great pace, really calming and centring.

I don't know what it is about this video, but it hits the sweet spot for me when I don't have time for a longer practice. I like what she says, and the sequence, and the pacing- it all just works beautifully, and I feel a distinct shift after I complete it. And it feels much longer than it is somehow. I keep coming back to it for the past two years at least once a week and it always works for me- better than any other short morning sequence (and I have SEARCHED many websites and programs.) Nothing works for me like this sweet little practice does. Thank you Ashleigh <3

Love Ashley, but her fiddling with her hair was very distracting.

When I unrolled the mat, I was in the mood to just have it be over. Fifteen seconds into child's pose I was melting gratefully, and fifteen minutes later, so hungry for another six or eight hours of this...

I also appreciate this efficient, short but effective way to start a morning where I am usually pressed for time. I am moving all my major muscles, but still having the time to quiet a restless or uneasy mind. Thank you!

When I'm pressed for time, this short but sweetly effective practice saves the day for me and gets me off to a positive start.

@JayW Great Question! And there's no right answer here. Traditionally, yogi's did asana as a preparation for mediation. A way to get the body to open and release in order to be able to sit longer in a meditative state. Sometime this is exactly what I need. Other times I feel the need to just sit. So, listen to your body and mind and go with what they are asking for from you. Enjoy!

Thank you from the banks of the Wapahani this cool and cloudy August morning. I am trying to build in my home practice every morning. Is it best to do the asana practice before or after a morning meditation?

Excellent! Perfect for the mornings when I have only a few minutes to practice. Thanks

I wake up every morning with your práctice, it has became my ritual as well, thank you

KevinandLara, posted on February 4, 2014

Thank you, Ashleigh! This is my "go to" when I have just enough time to do a short practice to set up my day. It puts me in the right place so I can build my day from a place of ease, calmness, and being centered. I know that if I didn't do this practice on those "rushed" feeling mornings... my days would be much different. So thank YOU!

I'm grateful that this practice came back to me this morning. Crunched on time but needed that wake-up, grounding feeling that yoga gives to the start of the day. This was perfect. Ashleigh, I love how despite it being a "quick" felt relaxed and complete! Namaste!

Thank you Ashleigh. I really liked this morning practice. Perfect for days when you don't have the energy for a more intense morning practice.

Thank you very much for this lovely morning practice. I especially appreciated focusing on my breath rather than the 'perfection' of the posture, and making an intention for the day.
