Morning Vinyasa

Available worldwide

Open your lower back as you gradually wake up the spine. This morning practice takes you through Sun Salutations slowly enough so that you can focus on the alignment of the foundational poses, including downward-facing dog, plank and cobra. After the warm-up, you are ready to flow through Sun Salutation A, exploring a meditation of movement and breath.

Great yogasequence, especially in the morning. I always felt very stiff, but since I have started doing this one a couple of days ago, much less. I just have a little question: when he says we should put our knees, when in low or high lounge, to the second toe, does he mean to the second outer toe or to the second inner toe? My yogar teacher always tells me to put the knees rather "outwards" than "inwards" in order to protect them (hope this sounds comprehensible:-))

For a morning practice this is soothing and instruction is confident and encouraging, but when there are repeated, longer lengths of time on the wrists first thing in the morning, placing stress on one of the more delicate areas that often find injury, I had to stop the video before I hurt worse. I love my planks and downward facing dogs, but when they are spread out throughout a practice more so as to not encourage injury. From the comments below, many weren't experiencing the same, but for those that may have weaker wrists, this practice starts out with focus on movements that rely on the wrists this early in the morning! I will come back to it another time and maybe my wrists won't be crying out so much, as the teacher is wonderful and supportive of not causing you injury! Thank you!

Great instruction! I need slow first thing in the morning and this was perfect for me. I added it to my playlist and will look for more of Tommy's videos.

Love Tommy's style and calm voice. Kia is amazing, too. Both are my "go-to" yoga practitioners.

I was really pleased with the measured pace and detailed instruction of this video. I felt like I stretched, opened, and breathed into every part of my body.

This is my second time doing this flow and it's so wonderful to do. I feel much better every since i've decided to start doing yoga. I'll continue with Tommy n Kia, they make it so easy for someone who's only been doing yoga for awhile. GREAT JOB, thank you.

Really enjoyed the class. Good pace to really allow breathing. Namaste!

Terrific flow and breath work - great work out. Problems are Tommy's inappropriate touching which is unnecessary and a poor example to instructors and his usage of ego-centered phrases such as: I love and I want. Keep the "I" and the touch out of yoga., posted on April 19, 2013

Really enjoyed, As an instructor, I loved the verbal ques, the pacing and the rhythm of breath. I did a mid afternoon practice and it was just the right amount of time. Thank you Tommy.

This is a beautiful practice! I am coming away from it feeling centered and ready to greet my day, even after a restless night. Thank you, Tommy Rosen and to Kiva for her peaceful presence.

Great morning flow to loosen up tight muscles. Gets you in a calm mindset for the day.

this really is my go to yoga video. It's a great pace- not fast, but not too slow. I find I use this video more than most others I have found. I have memorized just about every single thing he has said, but it's still good. If i'm away from it for awhile and doing other things I find that I crave going back to it.

I really liked this morning vinyasa yoga. The teacher is really calm, and a lot of emphasis is put on breath, which really helped my practice! Thanks!
