The black-eyed children remind me of the "black oil" episodes on the X-Files.

Fear porn? Hardly. Life is full of many positive and wonderful things. Life is also full of many dangerous and scary things. As knowledge is power, it pays to learn. So one can choose to make their own choices & not blindly follow the herd or the ones up on stage. We're all human beings. Just because George Noory & his guest enjoy addressing spooky topics, or else they wouldn't be probing such anomalies, does not mean one can leap off their butts shouting, "Fear porn!"

Another useful distinction is to discern fear as False Evidence Appearing Real, i.e. all made up within one's imagination, versus the fear as a survival stimulus as the body goes into fight, flight, or freeze such as when a grizzly bear or a tank is bearing down upon you. There's also that primal dread that seems genetically programmed as survival traits left over from our ancestors, such as regards to, right or wrong, poisonous snakes and spiders, sharks, critters, large predators, etc. That primordial dread is something to pay attention to, but not blindly follow. To lump distrust of black eye kids into the same category as racism and persecution of the others, Salem Witch trials, people with grotesque diseases & disabilities, etc., is ridiculous. Not the same thing at all.

From a less alien or extradimensional perspective and from a more human perspective, consider choosing to accept, forgive, and love the narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths among us does not mean we must also associate with them either and invite them into our lives. Hell no. There are times to slam the door shut.

Thanks again for another provocative episode!

I take your point, and extend my own. My point is not that we should befriend the black eyed children. My point is that we need to be very aware of our own automatic tendencies, and be cautious that we are making a conscious decision as to how to approach new populations that seem understandably scary to us. We are approaching a point in our evolutionary development as a species, where we are going to encounter this situation more and more. When our world was small, there were family feuds. Then there were wars between tribes, states, countries...etc. Now we are going interplanetary, but the lesson we are after learning is always the same - Are you able to coexist with others and remain peaceful yourself? Can you remain in a stable position of love without needless antagomism? Or do you choose to seek fear and hostility out? Both choices are valid, but we need to remember that in each moment we have that choice. The real danger is allowing oneself to drift into autopilot. So if someone really IS out to harm you , by all means - keep the door shut! Just bear in mind that black eyed children may look and behave weirdly, but they ask before coming in and go away when you tell them to - So they may not be as terrifying as Ted Bundy , who looked " normal", and acted like a regular guy - until he didn't. Be aware of and trust your OWN senses. There is an entire spectrum of Creation, and ALL of it exists for a reason! From that perspective it is up to each individual to choose where in the spectrum they operate from - Finding ONE'S OWN truth!!

Great points there, Sunshine. Received. I resonate most with, yes, we are at choice, and to often we "drift into autopilot." Autopilot, really, is all unconscious, regressive, or emotional- based reactivity. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing as fight, flight, or freeze, for example, has saved many a life. It's just when those primal instinctual behaviors get collapsed with the "dark side" of the abstract mind where fear, racism, prejudice, distrust and hatred of The Other even fear of "God" reigns supreme as a type of herd-consciousness where fear as " False Evidence Appearing Real" guides us into instant judgements & opinionations. I'm guilty of such, too, when I reactive from abstract mind to perceived "wrongs." We are all at choice.

I thoroughly enjoyed this interview, I was quite scared and constantly looking over my shoulder and wanting to turn it off. Growing up with influences of folklore from around the world, this particular story connected a lot of dots for me.

I found the comments below to be very confusing, considering the name of the show. Maybe they should check out Open Minds some more.

Customlawnil, posted on January 27, 2016

I agree about a very few comments that seem confusing - like a sudden discovery of sour grapes.

shine06, posted on January 25, 2016

I won't bother watching after reading the comments below. I've thought the same about some of George's shows, seems to be looking for the evil or negative scare factor. Regina is the one I followed here from Conscious Media, David Wilcox I enjoyed for a while however my "gut" tells me to be wary of the Corey Goode interviews and information.

So you guys are just letting anything go at this point? I used to be a big Coast to Coast fan, but now I think you and almost all your guests are a bunch of disingenuous hucksters with no authentic respect for your audience or their well-being. Keep up the great work!

This was one of the more disquieting examples of George Noory putting out fear porn. George Noory doesn't seem to believe in ETs ( or inner Earth beings), so how can we believe in him. This may have happened, but should not be used to induce fear. Marzulli I suspect is working for the criminals, and it sure seems Noory is doing the same or just in it for the money. GIve me David Wilcock or Corey Goode any day over the fear porn here.

I believe we will some day soon see beings not from surface Earth soon enough. It is one thing to want to see them and another thing entirely to actually see them in person. They could be up to 80 feet tall. To prepare us for that with fear porn is not in our better interests.

If they're going to feed us nonsense, at least keep it positive, right?

I had heard about these "beings" before and had wanted to know if someone had ever investigated them. I found this to be VERY interesting.

Thanks, posted on January 20, 2016

If you listen to this interview, it sets up auto-hatred for the different. Seriously. Listen to this whole thing , and imagine going back in time and hearing the exact same things said about blacks or gays, or the Japanese, Witches, or Jews....this has the underlying bias of an us vs them mentality. "This is what these people do . They are weird because they look different and behave in these ways that seem foreign to us. They knock on the door all wrong. They are "weird" because their eyes and body language are different -( Psst! Classify them by these bad traits !). Look for the differences that tell you they are evil! "I heard of someone who got sick because of this weird person - Doctors don't know why, but a bunch of us decided it was all the weird person's fault! " Can we say Salem? Am I the only one who finds this very disturbing ?

Lets assume that black eyed children do indeed feed on fear and look/act different.. ..Many beings feed on fear, just like trees don't look like us and utilize carbon dioxide but are merely a different portion of the spectrum of creation! My body could be eaten by a lion - but just because I might be the lion's prey doesnt make the lion evil or even necessarily terrifying. This interview is feeding and creating more fear feeding right now! And viewers who partake of this kind of thing with relish are the ones feeding on it! We are ALL a part of the spectrum that is creation! Even beings that look different and eat different things than we do. Things are only " weird" if you are using your own self as the standard by which everything else is measured and found faulty. A squid or preying mantis or porcupine isn't weird at all. They are perfectly made for them! How about a little latitude for natural differences here on Gaia?

There is NOTHING that is automatically terrifying, apart from the vantage point from which you view it. Do you imagine that the black eyed children are scared of themselves? Probably not. That means that there must be at least one vantage point from which to view them that is non-scary, and it is the one that starts with familiarity.

What does he say over and over? You have to let them in? That makes them the most polite "predator" Ive ever heard of! They vanish because you refused? What is scary about that? So we are judging them both for asking permission wrong, as well as leaving in the wrong way? WTF? It sure as hell is a ton better than humans who breed other animals in tortured captivity in order to eat them and refuse to give them any choice in the matter no matter how much they openly protest. Perhaps black eyes children are more evolved in some ways than we are. Ya' think? Focus on the order and balance that might be present in the Universe and approach this topic with a mindset of appreciation of something that you want to investigate with love, but are wise enough to keep a safe distance from. Like sharks or scorpions. And possibly George Noory programming.....

mnsands, posted on January 24, 2016

What this writer says makes so much sense - "there is nothing that is automatically terrifying; it depends on the viewpoint." Too, I've never been of the opinion that is a wild animal kills a human, it animal should be automatically killed, too. There are so many other factors. The animal may just be being itself in its natural behavior. Anyway, I like the points that the writer makes.

Customlawnil, posted on January 21, 2016

I never thought of that - fortunately.

The X file season on the black oil virus, if I remember correctly started with a kid with creepy black eyes, the eyes a tell tell sign of the infection.
Maybe you can also mention that, fits more info the story than MIB (the movie I assume).

Evil has to tell you and be invited in. The eyes are the tell.
Beata ala TFHL, posted on January 20, 2016

The light side must also tell you what they are going to do before they do it. It is the sacred right of the populace to choose! Prophecy is one way the light "side " will give a heads up to the populace so that humanity's direction can be steered by individual and collective consciousness. This show and my comments on it, for example , are both serving the same purpose. They both point out different sides of an issue so that a choice is indicated. I felt the urge to comment on this particular program very strongly, because I think the program was lopsided very strongly toward darkness, while appearing and promoting itself as a light bringer. The light side must always tell you what it is doing too! You have only to look for it. That way you see both the trap as well as the way out of it!!!

runlittlepika, posted on February 3, 2016, that is a very good point. Thank you for adding that!, posted on January 20, 2016

George Noory asks the stupidest questions of any interviewer out there. He never fails to lead viewers to with subjective commentary that caters to our lowest instincts. If you START a topic of inquiry with spooky music and label a topic as "Scary" repeatedly, how are you any different from mainstream media? Give me a break! In so many of his shows, he seems tho be looking for something to be scared of, and when he finds it, he latches on to it as though that was what he was after. He caters to the least common denominator always. Gaia viewers deserve better.

Customlawnil, posted on January 20, 2016

I always admire George with his sharp mind for professional interviews and would guess the same of many who tune in the 800 or so radio stations daily.

dragonwchimes, posted on January 20, 2016

Why do you bother listening to him for? Seems to me if you don't like a show/interview, skip it and spare us the troll comments. Thank-you!, posted on January 20, 2016

In answer to your question, I most often just skip his programs altogether. Sometimes though, his guest or topic really interests me, so I will give it a try. Today was one day where I made yet another attempt, but couldn't stand to watch the whole thing. Its usually for the same reason - he leads his audience into fear instead of exploring a topic and leading his audience away from it. It isn't a troll comment. I just see a real thread through his shows. I have no doubt its hugely popular - fear porn often is. I would like his approach to change - throw some light onto the shadows from a place of neutrality. Don't deliberately set something up by saying" Alright, now for something really scary!" How does that help? Of course you will create more fear if you approach anything that way.

Fuller Beacon, posted on January 20, 2016

Thank God we have both.
It would be great to see George going deeper, instead of exploring/exploiting the lower senses to engage viewers.

I have to agree (not a troll either) . Sometimes the guests are absolutely worth it, but Regina goes deeper and David goes to the core.

Something for everyone at Gaia, without coast to coast am many would still be more lost.
It would however be nice to see George being more inquisitive and asking better question, Here On Gaia.
He is so predictable it's funny. He has changed a bit, he finally stopped mentioning Stichen all the time Lol

Bless you George, I don't mean to hate, I just wish you had another show where we could see your more brilliant side.
Be a bit more imaginative man and cast your sails into the boundless ocean of the infinite, stop restricting yourself!!!

I prefer to think he caters to new viewers whose mindset is to enter the spooks but get reassured as they learn more and gain better understanding. The hosts have different styles for a reason, that's my take, so I enjoy it regardless.
