Neale Donald Walsch: Master Class with Interview (2011)

Available worldwide

Before he began his miraculous and life-changing conversations with God, Neale Donald Walsch was at the end of his rope. He describes the desperation he felt, giving us a greater understanding of his plight when he began writing the angry letter to God that resulted in the divine dialogues he has written about with such insight. In the intimate interview, he talks about his own challenges in learning to love and his subsequent recognition of the selfishness that pervaded his life. His goal now is to change the world’s mind about God – to allow the world to comprehend a God that is not going to punish, not going to condemn, not going to judge, but merely going to announce and declare itself as who you are, and move through you, in you, as you, so you might express through your life your own true nature – your own divinity.

Although I believe that he made some very wonderful valid points, I find it very difficult to support anyone who is "grateful" for all the horrible things he did TO OTHER PEOPLE. I seriously doubt that the people who were on the receiving end of his selfish, hateful nature, which he readily admits he did and is now grateful for, feels the same. Just because he now sees value in his cruelty and the hardships he faced (can you say karma?), does not mean that he now has some great inside scoop with God that we do not already know. In fact, what he says is already known, he is just a better speaker than most and does so eloquently. But listening or reading anymore from him, I will not. I do hope that he has found God, and continues to examine his own attitude about his actions and motives moving forward. And I will of course do the same, but without him to guide me. :)

My wife was listening when Neal mentioned his 7 marriages and immediately discounted the rest of his message. I’m glad I kept watching as everything he said resonated on a deeper level of knowing and truth. It takes a lot of guts to do what Neal does in this video and admit to his limitations and past wrongdoings.

he reminded me that all we need is love and that it isnt all about us but about what we do to and for others in our life. Thank you for this lesson because now I can try to live it and teach it to my son.

We are all one, all is connected... We are not alone as often believed. A beautiful reminder we are spiritual beings having a human experience; however, never stated so eloquently.....

In this revealing and candid interview Neal explains his lifelong struggles with his faith, relationships and his own mind. I was amazed at how open and sincere he is about his own faults and regrets. It's inspiring to know that he went from being homeless to a bestselling author. The emotional end to this video really choked me up. The overwhelming theme is that with the power of love, anything is possible.

Neal's end message of wishing all will find God within could be presented at first, in the middle and again at the end to be even more effective. Putting the others right into the picture at the onset and again and again will help his future talks. His story brings empathy for his struggles certainly. The end result of his triumph is asking the questions of who one is, why here now ans how to change. These could be stated early on as the theme and purpose, with the story as the middle. Just a suggestion.
