The Gurus Explore: New Zealand (2008)
The Gurus are exploring the southern half of the southern island of New Zealand. The Otago Peninsula is known for its magic scenery and rare wildlife. Then, they set off on a spectacular journey from Dunedin through the Catlins to Invercargill. Along the way they will show you how the Kiwis celebrate Anzac Day paying tribute to people who have fought in the wars.
First up, the gurus explore Dunedin, it is a charming citiy that is compact in size but right in culture, and a reminder of its prosperous past. Dunedin Chinese garden built in the year 2000 is a monument to the Chinese population that helped Dunedin prosper and is full of symbolism. Larnach Castle is New Zealand’s only castle, just a 15 minute drive from the center of Dunedin. The gurus explore the Gondwana garden and the lush interiors. Other locations include bird watching on UIva island, a tour of Speight’s Brewery and Oyster fishing in Invercargill.
