The Path: Afterlife (2009)

Available worldwide

Life is a journey; we are born, our lives are lived, then we die. No one can live forever – or can they? The Path: Afterlife asks two basic fundamental questions: What happens when we die? What is the purpose of life? The filmmakers interviewed 12 individuals in the United States who are well-versed, knowledgeable and currently practicing, studying or are experts in the field of holistic studies, out-of-body experiences, Reiki, past-life regression, physics and integrative medicine. The participants look at different theories as to what happens to people when they die, sharing their own personal encounters with death and near-death experiences and describing how these experiences shaped their lives and inspired them to dedicate their work to the study of consciousness.

Grow the soul, its eternal. This film has so many wonderful messages. It was well edited. The unfolding information had a simple start became more complex and ended in some very workable useful information. Deeply moving at times. Life is so very precious, the opportunity to just BE!!

As a very side note: the music might be reconsidered,. the repetitive etheric stuff. Id have loved to hear it change instead of repeat. The other , the kind of big romping soundtrack, that works at the end because of the inspiration.
thank you very much, Elizabeth

@filipcza, If you research a bit, I'm sure you can find this information. The new car smell is Formaldehyde. And this has been added to various products for years, (as well as other harmful chemicals) which are now added to almost everything.

Very well presented. The one comment that intrigued me the most was the mention of group souls agreements to play different roles for experiences. The last one left is the one that gets to reflect on all the events that have happened. This just made sense to me since this is exactly what happened to me. I am the last one who stayed and my life has blossomed ten fold into new dimensions of learning and understanding. I love this beautiful life that I was blessed with and the many twists and turns it took. I am truly grateful for all the souls that helped me along the way. ~Namaste

Many have spoken of those in limbo between realms. This is very distressing to me, to think that a frightened little child was, for lack of a better word, abandoned by his or her guardian angels. I can see a child running from the light, for whatever reason, but why would they be allowed to wander about alone, separated from the loving light.

Also, most say that the dead attend their own funerals, that's about 3 days after they die. If we go into the light just after we die, how could this be so? All I can figure is that we're allowed to come & go during a week or so after death. ~~~But the children, many have spoken on EVP's, are a mystery. Perhaps some spirits took them away from the light, frightened them in some way. But even if so, why would they be left behind?

This is complex matter but I try to clarify.

Usually dead hang around for a couple of weeks before they go to next level which for most people is astral realm. This gives them time to attend their funeral.

When you die your physical body expells a lot of etheric matter which wraps around your astral body. This etheric matter can "hold you down" for that couple of weeks before it's gone and you move on. Etheric matter is very dense and it will ground your astral body to this level so you can comfort your loved ones and stay here for longer. If you want to hang around even longer(become a ghost and haunt for example) you need to get some more etheric matter, otherwise you will just slip into astral realm because that's the natural level of astral body. Where do you get more of this etheric matter? From living beings, and that's why it's not a good idea to hang around haunted places, you can get a attached spirit from those places and that can cause all kinds of health and psychological problems.

The subject becomes even more confusing when you know that there are also so called "astral shells" which can be left behind. They are like empty energy mannequins which look like the person who has died but the soul is not there anymore. Like when snake leaves empty skin behind. These shells can do simple things but are robotic in nature and cannot hold a meaninful conversation. There is a little of the persons energy there so it's not completely inanimate. So not all ghosts are souls, even if they look like the person.

The main thing for me is that my consciousness will never die.
Good analogy is this: The body is just like a car and the real you, the soul, is the driver.
You know you are not your car, it's just a vehicle so that you can get around. You can look through it's windows and see around, you can move it from place to place, but no matter how much attached you become to your car, it's not you.
Your car will eventually break down but then you can just exit the car and get into new one. I don't know about you but I like the "new car smell" :)

Make each choice/moment better than the last. Make decisions based on love and caring; not for yourself but for another; be of service; that will be challenging enough. Don't say you don't know how or where to start-that's it. So grow up and do it! Begin now! That's what I heard in this film--wow! Sounds simple but we'll see… Thank you for this new direction..

I've been reading books about life after death since I was a girl in the 70s. Very interesting to hear these theories and meet some new experts I haven't before.

I was glued to this. I felt connected to the content. It was very validating for me and came at just the right time. I have not had any near death experience but I have had experiences of similar quality which have left me KNOWING! I have been on a different kind of journey ever since and it is always a gift to connect with like minded people...Namaste

I think overall it was a good video, but I do think they needed the perspective of a medium as well. I was actually surprised that one did not appear in the interviews.

The spectrum of views of afterlife was so broad it became confusing. If your looking for answers you certainly will get a plethora of them.
