Power Yoga Therapy Introductory Yoga Flow

Available worldwide

This In-Depth workshop class with Jesse Enright combines detailed alignment and powerful, flowing movements. PowerYogaTherapy seeks to provide students with an understanding of "how" and "why"yoga postures work. With an emphasis on muscular balance and postural integrity over aesthetics and performance, this class aims to change the practice of "power yoga" from potentially dangerous contortion into a profound tool for healing and transforming the human body. In this In-Depth Introductory class Jesse demonstrates and explains in detail the basic introductory 48 minute flow.

I have been on a quest to find a video that most closely emulates a Studio Class experience. Partly because I moved from the U.S. to Europe and all the yoga studios teach classes in Norwegian here; but also because classes range from $20-30 per class, and a monthly membership is on average $200 a month - so I can't understand the teachers and can't afford a membership.

Therefore, I'm extra happy to have finally found an online class that invigorates and relaxes me as much as an in-studio class would, and I plan on exploiting that fact by doing this video as much as possible :)

I have recently gotten out of my good habits of everyday practice.
This class really helped me connect with why I love yoga.
The music and breath beats helped me focus, and your instruction was superb.
I will deff be doing this one again along with exploring your other classes.
Thank you!

This is a wonderful, slow power class with plenty of detail to help a beginner or even intermediate yogi ensure that their alignment is correct. It's amazing how many sloppy (or can I even say 'floppy') habits one can pick up in faster classes. As a kinesiologist myself, I appreciated the extra anatomy he intertwined into this class! It definitely helped me understand why I was doing something - instead of just doing it.

@milosarah i feel the same about the first person narrative. still very informative.

This video was extremely helpful to a sort of beginner such as myself who is trying to avoid injury. Jesse explained the poses thoroughly, and I appreciated the additional dialogue he contributed in reference to the specifics of the yoga practice. Thank you!

Not for me. Armpit hair??? Don't want to think about that. Do we really need instruction on Anjali Mudra?

very thorough, well designed, perfect for understanding foundational details, and giving time to assimilate them.
Thank you,Namaste.

I love the detailed instruction and alignment so often lacking in power yoga these days, but the constant first person narrative s distancing and distracting for the student. I would for this teacher to focus more on what the student is working on rather than himself. Otherwise this is very helpful video.

Well, I am a super beginner who has tried and failed many times to find a place for yoga in my life. High strung, stressed out, hyper active...never thought I could make it work but always keep coming back. I really enjoyed this class. Who knew my attention span could handle 90 minutes! I am an ICU nurse and also really appreciate the focus on the physiology of the body. This was enough activity to feel like I "worked out" and a great ending to make me chill out. Thank you very much for a great experience.

This is perfect for a beginner and should be labeled as such. But I was looking for a vigorous power yoga session. Too much instruction for my level. I will, however, recommend it to my sister for whom this would be perfect.

Jesse, you are amazing. You don't make me feel ashamed at all for not 'being better.' I just know that where I am is good enough....and I will continue to extend that feeling. You are an excellent and wise teacher.

My New Year\'s resolution is to do more yoga. This is the first class I\'ve done to get back into the practice. How fortuitous! Your simple, clear instruction helped me to keep the most important principles in mind. Thank you for creating this video! namaste

Jesse is one amazing teacher. You make anatomy so interesting. I like how you talk a lot throughout. Some teachers talk...some don\'t. Doesn\'t make any style better than the other, it just makes it different. You are clearly teaching from your gift. Please make more videos!
