I didn't notice before I started that this is not a beginner practice - but your calm, encouraging, instructive prompts helped me complete the practice with modifications. What a wonderful way to transition between daytime and evening meetings! Thank you!

Your voice is so wonderful and soothing! When I find myself straining I stop and really tune into it and I can relax into the pose. Loved the class!

Wow, my body is all warmed up and feels so good! The beginning plank work really gets the body heated! I really appreciated the holds and breathing into the poses and the modifications offered were perfect. I also liked the reminders to appreciate where one is at in a pose and not beat myself up if I needed to come out. It was quite a challenge for me to hold the poses longer, but then when I could hold the pose I would ease into that with my breath. Thank you Andrea for a wonderful class. You are a wonderful teacher and teach with such wisdom!

Fantastic to hear from you here. Fab that you are easing into poses with your breath and finding new levels and layers. That's the juicy goodness of going deep. Thanks for practicing with me! xx A

Don't be fooled by the slow nature of this practice, this is still a class with Andrea Marcum so you know it's going to be tough. While definitely a physically challenging practice, I found the greatest challenge was a mental one, to connect to my breath and to stop fighting the practice .

andreamarcum, posted on February 23, 2016

I find slowing down and connecting to the breath the deepest work of all too. And I find being guided towards it to be essential so I don't lean into my samskara and give in to tempting distractions and excuses. I SO appreciate you practicing with me! Thank you xx A

Slowing down Vinyasa practice...man, you REALLY feel it's full benefits. It wasn't easy, I'll admit. Slow Vinyasa means being 100% in control of your body. But not only that, it's 100% awareness so my transitions wouldn't be wonky. Though I know it's okay if I collapse here and there, but for the most part, this was soothing. Thank you so much, Andrea! The key to a lengthy and slow practice is to be present and be thankful for this opportunity. My body, as well as my mind were grounded here. Again, thank you for the practice! Jealous of your time in India! What a beautiful country!

Thank you so much for such a slow and deliberate practice. As I age, I find the slower practices better suited for me and I love all the modifications you offer. Truely, you are an amazing teacher.

Gooey, slow, contemplative, replenishing mindfulness is where I too find myself drawn over time. Deep appreciation to you for practicing with me here and for your very kind words. xx A

How super cool to hear from you in Prague!! Ann, who's comment on this class is below, practices with me from Belgium and just a couple of weeks ago joined me in India on retreat! One of my favorite things about Gaia is how it allows the big-wide-world to come together. We are so close even when we are far apart. To me that's the union of yoga. Thank you for uniting with me here! <3 xx A

Andrea: Great to see you again! I enjoyed this slow but not easy practice. I must admit I threw in a few handstands for good measure!
Gaia: Thanks for bringing back two teachers from MYO - Andrea and Clara - all in one week! What a delightful surprise. The studio looks great. I would really love to start seeing more former MYO featured instructors like Liv Hilde, Christine Price Clark, Kevan Gale, Nico Luci, Ragunath, Janet Stone, Danielle Nagel, Kelli Kerry and Meghan Currie! I miss having new classes from my favorite instructors! I would also love to see some more outdoor classes and Live Yoga festival classes. Thanks!

Hi @Montlake!

So grateful for your feedback. Yes, you will see more and more of the teachers that embody all 8 limbs of Yoga in their practices like Andrea and the others you have mentioned. We really understand the importance of bringing the whole community feel into this space as well. Please stay tuned for some exciting things coming up. I have also shared your feedback with the team...thank you!!
