ReDiscovering Mary Magdalene (2001)

Only available in Canada, United States

Who was Mary Magdalene? Was she a prostitute – or a priestess? Strong and independent women often feel there is no true place for them in the Judeo-Christian traditions. What would it mean to our culture if Mary Magdalene emerged as a model of courage, wisdom and partnership? Take a journey of remembrance to the roots of the sacred feminine in western culture. We follow a group of actors preparing to present the play My Magdalene by Lila Sophia and David Tresemer, while the authors and others describe and comment on research into new understandings of Mary Magdalene.

I have been searching for info on Mary Madgalene and this was one of the first pieces I have seen that was not a "Made for TV" piece. Would love to have the production come to Pittsburgh, Pa. Wonderful, beautiful and insightful.

This movie was wonderful!.
It brought the truth out about Mary Magdalene and the priestess she was. So recommend this film to all.

Thank you for this film. I am reading The Magdalen Manuscript - The Alchemies of Horus & The Sex Magic of Isis by Tom Kenyon and Judi Sion. The beginning is a channeling of Mary Magdalene as she tells the story of her and Yeshua and the role she played. This is all exciting information that brings hope and relief!
