Beyond Belief: Resolving Past Life Issues with Ann Barham (August 2016)

Season 6, Episode 22
Available worldwide

There is more to a past life regression than simply learning who you were in another lifetime. Throughout our various incarnations, each one of use was born with gifts which can be of benefit across lifetimes. In addition we have encountered hardships which affect the behaviors and experiences in the present life. Ann Barham helps her clients discover these gifts and challenges, and guides them in overcoming the unprocessed emotions which may still be causing problems within this lifetime. This interview with George Noory was originally webcast August 31, 2016.

Ann Barham is a certified regression therapist with training in transpersonal psychology, hypnosis, therapeutic imagery, and trauma release modalities. Throughout her nearly twenty year career, her practice has evolved to merge her interest in spirituality with her counseling work. Now she is focusing almost exclusively on past life regression therapy, which she believes has the greatest healing impact for her clients in the shortest amount of time.

A lot of modern 'shaman's would do well to listen to this interview.

I'm not sure if I made up what I said under hypnosis,..or if it was real. I couldn't get a lot of detail.
My session was UFO related, lost time, 2 1/2 days ! I was amazed at the things I said when I got
to listen to the recording. That therapist kept me calm lol I'm going to do it again to try and
get more details. But there's so much info on other things I want to find out !! Thankx George
for having Ann on ur show ~ Namaste ~

I interviewed Ann awhile back and although it wasn't mentioned here she also has a guided past life regression MP3 for a nominal fee on her website under the "Explore More" tab to listen to on your own or in preparation of a live session, I listened to it, enjoyed her voice and had a themed result. Either way, a nice surprise to see her on Beyond Belief.

I have had 2 past life regression sessions with Ann. It was helpful to know how the traits I had in the past lives effect the way I am in this life. Overall it helps you to forgive yourself for the wrongs you have done and to know that we are all evolving and trying to be better more loving people.

Ann is clearly a "real" and interested person. I liked her energy a lot.

My past life regression added much to this life with an evolving quality to the story over years. Dr. Barkham explains it very well. In my case it was a relationship with my Mother that improved with the new concepts I learned. Some of the issues in that life were present in this life as well. Happy to see this process being brought forth for more to use and enjoy.

I had a session last year for the first time, mainly out of curiosity. Its funny, my wife and I were joking on our way to the session, saying what if I had killed her in a past life or something. It turned out, she had killed me! We had been living in a nice cabin by the mountains around 1920s and apparently I absolutely hated it there because of the woman I was living with (my current wife). And for some reason (Im still not sure why), she snapped and stabbed me between the shoulder blades out in the woods and left me to die. Most of my current adult life, I have had intense upper back pain in that area, and slowly after the session it started to fade away. It flares up now and then but isn't nearly as bothersome as it used to be. I was told by, well, myself... during the session that because of the pain that my wife had inflicted in that life, she wanted to make up for it in this life and is now a doctor. We seemed to have resolved our differences since then because we now have a great relationship. Its funny how things work out like that.

Through Past Life Regression I have learned that I have had at least 4 lives with my current wife. Of those recalled, this is the second in which we are married. In one life, we were the best of girlfriends in Colonial America. My father was a well-off Loyalist. His political position would later cost me my life, but it goes that way sometimes.

I have to say that I loved this episode because I truly believe this. I'm 53 years old right now but when I was about 6, I had a dream where I was a soldier that was shot in the stomach area. I was lying in the mud and another soldier, the enemy, walked up to me to shoot me again. I said no, no, please, but he shot me anyway and I guess I died. I remember, before he shot me again, looking ahead of me and seeing a huge ditch that they were throwing bodies into. It was sort of like an empty swimming pool with stagnant water towards the deep end. The water that was in it seemed to be from rain. I think it was very cold, too. I woke myself up saying no, no, please, and I've never forgotten that dream. I know it was a memory, not just a dream. It seems to explain so much in that when I was just 3 years old, I wanted to be a Green Bay Packer! The thing is, I'm a woman! In the dream, I was a very young man! I've always been a serious athlete and I had just one signature left before joining the Army when I was 18! Something down deep told me not to do it and I didn't. I guess it was the memory of being killed as a soldier in a former life. In fact, I'm sure of it! I even have 3 "birth marks" on my stomach which I believe are scars of that past life. I also HATE cold weather. I guess I must have incarnated again very quickly and that's why I have the scars and a sort of masculine personality! My father use to call me his little tuffy! Hahaha! My sister use to think I was a closet case gay person but I think that was just projection on her part since she ended up in a lesbian relationship. However, I can see how she may make the mistake since I use to play football better than most of the boys when we were young! I've been married to a man for the past 20 years and have 3 children and grandchildren but I'm certain I was a man in my last life. I was told that I have a VERY old soul and I, too, believe that we come back over and over again until we get it right! I guess I'm a little hard headed since I don't seemed to have gotten it right yet! Maybe after this lifetime, but I somehow doubt it! ^_^ Great show, George!

It takes a bit of courage to share about past life memories in a forum like this, so I want to thank you for your story. It certainly sounds as though this prior life has impacted this life in certain ways, as they often do. Those influences often manifest in strong likes and dislikes that we can't explain but feel deeply. Fears and phobias are often the result of past life trauma.

I do want to respond to one statement you made regarding past, present, and future lives. It is not so much about "getting it right" in any one lifetime, as it is about learning lessons and growing in what I call Fearless Compassion. It seems that the lessons of the Earth plane boils down to learning to live fearlessly and with great compassion towards self and other. It is challenging to reach a place of trust and faith that all will be well and that there is nothing to fear. And, it is challenging to learn to love so broadly and deeply with compassion towards all. This is our challenge. Many old souls are still working on it. I am with you in that.
