Haunted by the presence of his crude and alcoholic father "Red," Patrick Fitzgerald goes on a journey to spread Red's ashes and finally lay his past to rest. I am a retired ICU nurse and I have seen the end stages of alcoholism many times; it is hard to not grow jaded. This gave me a fresh perspective. The best short film I have seen so far.....

Loved the way it clearly shows that alcoholism is a multi-generational disease which runs in families! The father was superbly played! Clearly part AH and a father who truly LOVES his son! As well as the son's performance was "right on" too!!

I used to work in the treatment industry. The original roots of residential treatment were the Synanon and Scientology Cults. There were also some legit places, such as Betty Ford, now known as Hazeldon. Then many small treatment centers opened up - some good and some bad. Then somewhere along the line big time investors and corporations, such as American Capital, figured out that there is money residential treatment - BIG MONEY. The profit margins are outrageous for treatment centers. Thus treatment is becoming big business. As treatment has become big business I have seen an increasingly amount of films, movies, shows, books promoting residential treatment for everything from mental health to addiction. Pharma has tapped out its profits so investors are moving on to treatment..... So I say this because you all should be careful about drinking the Koolaide. Treatment, when done right, is good. But when it is profit driven or cult driven, it is junk.

This movie deeply touched my heart, my son took a different road, and is no longer here

It was way too short. This had so many avenues to play out.
