I love this class...especially that threading the needle pose. it really gets in between my shoulders after a day at a desk job.

Does anyone know if there's a way to "favorite" videos? I enjoy that I can build a playlist of videos I want to try, but I'd love it if I could keep my very favorites to come back to, like this one. After trying enough different videos on here it's hard to remember them all. So many good ones!

@rbergen2 any 'earthy' oil is good...cedarwood, etc. For the 3rd chakra, you might also really like BELIEVE (my absolute favorite) from YLEO or peppermint, which is also very activating, yet also soothing for the digestive system. Grab my book Aroma Yoga for a more in-depth perspective on using oils with the chakras. You can get it here:

Ashley, thank you for this whole chakra package!! I am learning so much of mind and body. I suffer from chronic abdominal/pelvic pain. I hope to free myself of their limitations.
I am very allergic to Evergreen trees and Valour has their essential oils in its blend. Could you suggest something else??
many thanks

Really, really enjoyed this one. I've been doing the chakra series you have and I came into this one thinking I may have a 3rd chakra deficiency because I always feel like I'm not doing enough and there is more that I can do to be productive, but during this practice I think I realized that I may actually have an excess because I am a workaholic. I will definitely be repeating this as I work to find a balance in my ego :) thank you so much!

Wonderful video and very informative.

Can you explain how it works that you could have both a high (excess) of 3rd chakra power (anger, irritation, etc) and at the same time a deficiency with low confidence in some arenas... how would this be balanced in practice? Thank you

montlake, posted on August 30, 2013

Very educational and interesting! I definitely have an imbalanced third chakra. If you have more recommended reading, I would love any suggestions! Thanks.

ASHLEY: You are clearly very knowledgeable about the relationship between body and mind! I have been learning about the chakras recently and can definitely see the truth of their existence based on my own strengths and weaknesses. Love what you are doing to mix yoga with chakra healing! Namaste.

Hi Ashley, I really love your chakra series and wished your book was available in Europe ! I was expecting something different for this class. I always had the feeling that the 3rd chakra was also about emotions managment, on which I am struggling! I sometimes feel that my 3rd chakra is unbalanced but could not relate with what you were saying... I loved this short practice anyhow!

Thank you for this insightfulness. It makes me realise how much my own practice has slipped and how much I need it :)

Thank you for such an insightful practice! I have a very under active third chakra, which manifests in shyness and lack of confidence. However this is only fairly recent, I can recall a time when I wasn't shy and had confidence in everything I did - this is how I know shyness is not a personality trait of mine, it is a response to an imbalance. One question I do have for you (it's a difficult one to answer), do you have any tips/visualisations/mantras/essances/oils you would recommend to help me with blushing? It is such an embarrassing side effect of my shyness, I hate allowing others to see how I feel on the inside! Any tips would be much appreciated. Thank you once again for a wonderful practice, I will continue to follow your chakra series. Namaste, illy xx
