Inspirations: The Turning Point with Gregg Braden (April 2014)

Season 6, Episode 8

The world is experiencing erratic weather patterns that are breaking new records every day. With the dramatic increase in devastating events like floods, wildfires and Arctic blasts, a global sense of shock and awe seems to be the new norm. In this interview taped live at the 2014 Conscious Life Expo and originally webcast on April 24, 2014, geologist and author Gregg Braden discusses the four major climatic changes affecting the world today, and how a communal attitude of collaboration can help facilitate positive change.

Gregg Braden is a New York Times best-selling author whose pioneering work bridges science and spirituality. He has explored high mountain villages, remote monasteries, and forgotten texts in order to merge their timeless secrets with the best science of today. His latest book, The Turning Point: Creating Resilience in a Time of Extremes, calls us to recognize that every crisis can become a moment of transformation.

I respect Gregg's work but I can't understand as a scientist originally, it would have been good if he could have backed other respected workers for disclosure such as Dane Withington who has worked tirelessly to expose chemtrails. We all know this is happening by now but Gregg's following and reputation could have helped to expose this practice. If we all go bush, then how do we expose these practices and put an end to it all.

Excellent interview. Like others, I've been following Gregg' Braden's work over the time. I am, however, left with mixed messages about living in community being the new norm and Gregg living in isolation in Northern NM. There is a disconnect here. That being said, the information was wonderful. Nothing in this segment that was "new," but it is good to hear and be reaffirmed.

I've been following Gregg now for about a decade and I always love his works including his books. I've seen him live once and it was worth it. He always brings something worth learning to the table. I love how he tells us what is happening but keeps things in check without being a spawn of negative or fear mongering. He was a scientist before he became metaphysical and that speaks through his works. I loved this interview and I look forward to more.

What he said was to grieve the passing of the old earth then move on and embrace the new earth.
But I think that is something hard for Republicans to do because it means they need to stop being narcissistic.

Just my two cents, but I heard a lot of big words and everything, but I turned it off halfway through because it didn't sound like he was really saying anything. The earth is getting warmer and we don't know why. Things are breaking down because they're unsustainable. Yeah, okay.

Gregg Braden, is a beautiful example of evolving as a human being during this extreme time of transitioning....He made great point of the need to adapt and move forward in our lives. Although Lisa didn't ask any pointed questions about political issues as chemtrails, But I guess he is doing business with the Govt with his hypothesis so he doesn't want to be seen as too far outside of the mainstream, that Mr. Braden avoided like the plague..
All in all the info was refreshing....

I've been following Greg for years now and his work is amazing, everyone should listen to this guy! As for the comment by lesliesfarm, obviously, you haven't followed, listened to his work over the past 20 years, your comment is as far from the truth as can be.

I think Gregg should give a national speech. Obama will agree if the others let him.

So, Braden is living like a survivalist, but he doesn't have the courage to suggest that others do so. He respects his neighbor for creating something that others need, but he gives us generalities and platitudes. He is a "scientist", but couldn't possibly comment on weather manipulation. I guess he's too busy selling big, expensive, unsustainable travel packages to people.

Truly inspirational! Thank you so much Lisa and Gregg. Let us all return to not only our Earth but Spirit as well.

I am another you.
