Hidden Origins: Unschooling from Financial Indoctrination (June 2016)

Season 2, Episode 7
Available worldwide

Growing up in a capitalist system, dependent upon steady streams of money, we are prone to balk at the shining promises from Ubuntu and the elimination of currency. Michael Tellinger explains, to a live audience, that what we need is an unschooling from the financial indoctrination rampant in our societies. It begins with learning skills for life. Then building an understanding that when you are doing what you choose to do, you cannot fail. These concepts work for the individual and have larger implications for local and global communities. This workshop was originally webcast June 13, 2016.

What makes you think the "council of elders" is going to be any more ethical, generous and empathetic than the current government, corporate leaders and financial elite? The biggest problem with humans as I see it is: those who wish to lead are not always the same as those who should lead.

The council of elders wouldn't have full authority. Simple as that.

What people need is yes,
1./ A well thought out DVD to show people about Ubuntu with all the main points that is easy to watch and digest.
2./ A printable brochure in foldable brochure format that people can print out from their home computers, to be handed out with accurate information on it.
3./ A business card format which includes the Ubuntu Logo, Local Ubuntu Facebook page, Local Ubuntu Website, Local Phone Number & Local Email Address which people can organise to get made for themselves, (Vistaprint charge around $10 for 250x professionally printed business cards).
4./ Wholesale priced Ubuntu T Shirts to On Sell (Main Office design some pretty ones too)
5./ Wholesale priced 'Ubuntu Contributionism' Books to On Sell
6./ An Official Ubuntu Vinyl Banner or Flag Design that people can get made up from Vistaprint or elsewhere (Vistaprint banners are only around $20 and very good quality).

An idea of how to distribute these items if you don't want your private home invaded by strangers.
Hire a regular Market Stall and man it with the above items for sale and give away. Include light, folding chairs for people to sit on, plus any crafts you'd like to sell to help with your costs.
Advertise your Weekly Ubuntu Market Stall and Community Discussion Marquee Tent on your Local Ubuntu Facebook Page plus your own personal Facebook Page.

I understand the main concepts of the Ubuntu mindset and find it's inspiring a remembering in me. One thing I haven't heard about though, is transportation and how that works in an Ubuntu community. Any answers or thoughts on transportation?

wonder how many Ubuntu groups are already meeting in the US. Ubuntu reminds me of Findhorn in Scotland and what I have read previously of the hippie communes.

How can a senior citizen like me, who can't do much physical labor, contribute to UBUNTU?

paigerogers45, posted on August 28, 2016

The mind can contribute infinitely to society , not all labor is physical .

Do you sew, darn or knit? Can you repair work clothes that are torn? Can you bake bread, grow sprouts, gather and dry herbs, baby sit children ?

Very inspiring, uplifting, and infectious. Thank you Michael. I see a number of people expressing interest and information about themselves in the comments. If you are serious, go to www.ubuntuplanet.org and join the ubuntu movement.

I like M. Tellinger's information. He brings a lot to the conversation. I learn a lot from him, he has changed my world view for sure. Yet, I do not feel this is the 100% way that change will come about. It would be wonderful if Gaia TV would have more shows with different ideas on the subject of money and the financial system. Thanks for this show! Makes you think.

i wish we could ask him questions!! what happens if everyone in your community who makes shoes does an ok job but you really like what the shoes a guy in another community makes. would you be able to obtain those shoes you prefer? would trade work in that situation or would there be another solution? not trying to be smart ass. serious question!

Yes you could get the pair you want, each community produces 3X what they need. Eventually if the shoemaker next door is that good, he will have lots of pupils producing enough to satisfy the increasing demand. Namaste sister.

Money is not the problem, acquiring and/or retaining power over the masses through the use of murder, threats, psych-ops, wars, black ops, etc etc etc......what would stop murder, bribery & corruption from infiltrating this system? what would stop evil, wealthy modern day barbarians & their army's? historically, he use of Money without corruption has been effective, unfortunately, this world is controlled by psychopaths who murder their way to the top......How can good, kind, generous people prevail over evil, a theoretical system which has no ability to conquer evil? This planet is infested with evil ......a benevolent society would be stupendous, how would that be accomplished?

Crystal Warrior, posted on July 16, 2016

Can the Capitalistic Money System prevent evil from corrupting mankind ?
Michael is not saying there will be no need for law and order.
He is saying however, that there will be 'less' need for law and order though, as money stress, manifesting as hunger, lack of sleep, lack of community, lack of clothing etc, are very often the cause of crime.
Kids who have no money have nothing to do, are more easily led down a criminal path in life.
If everyone is well fed, rich and in part of a busy community, I agree with Michael.
There will definitely be much less propensity for crime.

Hello Michael,
thanks for another wonderful session. I'd like to help but it sees that there is something wrong with the website as I cannot find the submit button. Please find below what i wrote:
What are your talents and acquired skills? Hello, and thank you to Michael Tellinger and everyone else on his team for the amazing idea and splendid work! I'm a linguist also an energy healer and assertiveness coach.
What role do you see yourself playing with Ubuntu? I'd like to start by spreading the word, i'm also open to other ideas and suggestions you might have for me.
Please also note that although our home state is Virginia we usually leave overseas due to work reasons.
All the best always

Michael, I love that you are teaching this and putting it into action! And I want to be a part of it. I know it is crucial in learning to live in alignment with the Earth and each other. From childhood I knew money "did not compute". It made no sense to me why it existed. I'm now a retired school teacher and wonder if I might be of help in your department of educating others in how Ubuntu can work. I have a heart connection to Ubuntu and what it will do for humanity.

Thank you Michael for all you do and have done and I know will continue to do. I agree whole heartily with this concept. You wanted questions. Here is mine. where do we get the land? Most all land is owned or under a mortgage. If you have addressed this issue I then apologize for missing it. My prayers are with you. along with my support, and encouragement.

Hello Everyone,

Many Thanks & Love.
I also wanted to say you remind me of Captain Kirk! =)

This is the direction I and many have been looking for and know is 100% possible.

At the moment for me, i am going to a technical IT college and freelancing my skills to many different organizations and have been connecting with many around the world for web design, administration of servers, & a whole variety of things my mind is capable of creating. I enjoy the IT side, but my labor of love is with research, science, philosophy, poetry, art, & learning new things. If it matters, I was in the USAF for 6 years and joined to feed my family at 19yrs of age. I worked with electronics communication systems that speak to satellites in orbit. The title of the job aka label is of Satellite Communications / RF Transmissions.

"I will to will thy will."

I am willing to help with my skills now, but in this transitional period, I would need small amount of currency for me not to live on the streets. I lost everything of mine in 2012 through a startling energetic transformation of change. It was that rock bottom point for me and many that have experienced themselves.

I would also love to travel around the world and help in South Africa, USA, & wherever people need me, but this seems highly implausible at this point in time it seems. The only tool and power I feel I have at this point in time is using a computer as a tool to help.

Some experience you can view of mine is via sharpetronics.com and some of the other volunteer websites are prepareforchange.net & gaiaconfederation.blogspot.com. I also love pondering and deep thinking many of the same challenges you have helped solve for many Michael. I have been born on this planet to help create this very thing too as many other have.

Much love,

Charles aka C‪♯‎

Why do each need a lawnmower where you could have a community shed with a set of 5 or 10 lawnmower you can use and put it back... or a hammer and nails or a screwdriver... and its part of the community project where someone takes care of the equipment, fix anything that breaks etc. This occurred to me when my neighbor came to borrow my lawnmower because his was broken. he was so apologetic , why not all put our resources in one so i don't have to have a garage full of tools i use maybe once a year like a ladder... and maybe the community will have one for those shed for every 5 to 10 houses so you don't have to travel far to get the tools

The point is a really don't think we need each one a copy of everything, maybe its handy to each own a nail clipper... instead we have a shared pool of tools. I would much rather go to a salon and talk with the ladies while I clip my nails and maybe cut a hair cut at the same time than doing this at home in my bathroom by my lonely self ...

and in the Venus project, they also have this concept of each house have a screen and radio and you can listen or watch everything from a database instead of each have a copy of CD or movie... it is wasteful

This is my wish ...
