I really felt a deep stretch in my outer hips after the 5 part lunge series but the real trick was squeezing the inner thighs together in Gomukasana and then releasing on the exhale breath! I'm going to use that instruction in my yin classes going forward! Thank you for the amazing practice Jesse! Namaste

Thanks so much, the entire hour has been a guided meditation and asana practice that has left me in a happy mood. Your directions, creative analogies, cues and visualizations, your uplifting tone and well picked words show that you work hard to teach well. You're in my playlist to stay.

thanks for this opportunity to do a practice where my body felt loved and safe all the way through. and thanks for offering the tools to bring that feeling into other practices. loved every second.

This is very dificult to do, I feel more strong, people do not understand that the slower you do yoga and stay longer, you become more strong, :), but, everybody can make what makes them, happy.
Thank you for this hatha yoga excelent and realy difiult practise :)

That was awesome! Thank you so much for such a great relaxing massage practice. Really enjoyed this and will be coming back for this again!

Feels more restorative than vinyasa. Not enough movement for me. Cues on alignment are really helpful, but it's more instructional video than workout.

Thank you very much for this excellent practice! I feel like a million bucks.

Great practice to adjust alignment- gave me some great tips for doing a better downward dog:)

Not only did Jesse teach me alignment and breathing and massage principles, he taught me more about mindfulness. There is gentle assuredness in his teaching which helped me to trust him.

Thanks Jesse. This practice helps me find good alignment and leaves me feeling blissfully relaxed.

I feel stretch and "positive". I have a hipflex pull and lower back, problems, ouch, the stretches, especially when on back with bottom of feet touching was great. Even spreading the toes will help hip release. These are all new concepts for me and I appreciate your suggestions. I will follow you on gaiamtv for sure. I would love a collection of 30 days of practice to follow. Thank you

Namaste, Jesse! That was a wonderful yoga-massage-experience. I really enjoyed working with my inner massage therapist. ;-) :-) I especially liked the inner experience after tightening the outer muscles to be able relaxing the inner muscles……and of course all the deep sighs! Lovely work Thank you!!!!

Thanks so much for this wonderful lesson.

Your advice about moving my upper body with me when stepping into a lunge from down dog really helped. I could never figure out why I could never get my foot to meet my hand...and now I can!

Tilstonyogi, posted on December 13, 2012

Thanks Jesse. A unique emphasis in this practice. Feels great!

Great class and love your instruction but I cannot sit with my legs crossed over each other (like cow face pose but without the arms!). What do you suggest instead? Thanks.

This is a wonderful sequence, again, Jesse. I like the relaxing pace, your concise instruction and attention to detail. I love this self-massaging experience. Cheers

I feel air and space around my core and hips ahhhhh. Sitting tall in the computer chair becomes natural. Nice upper body portion. Hopefully Jesse will create an upper body version to go as deep as hips and core in this practice. Close up camera angles would be an improvement when movements instructed are small. Tough to see when on floor away from screen. Thank you.

So good! This is how yoga should always feel. I highly recommend this practice, teaching you to be mindful, slow, honest and humble so your body gets what it truly needs.
Thank you , Jesse.

Jesse's instructive approach is invaluable, and I would recommend this practice for everyone, at every level. MYO and the yoga world in general is full of teachers who instruct us to look inward. We all know this, and I'm not convinced we all need to hear that in every class. What Jesse gives us here is a very straightforward vinyasa-type flow with basic poses,, packed with the gift of Jesse's knowledge as well as his enthusiasm. What I personally need reminding of is to be constantly gentle, and Jesse's allusion to massage is probably one that I will constantly remember from now on. I will constantly be coming back to this practice because I WANT to REMEMBER Jesse's words during all my practices, whether a MYO video, or on my own. This is a video to purchase, as the learnings here are valuable everywhere.

Thanks for this very different approach. It was great to learn how to do double pigeon with the inner thigh squeezing. I enjoyed the class very much

yoga4all, posted on July 12, 2012

This video would be even better if Jesse spoke at half the speed. He certainly knows his anatomy and I liked his approach. Just less talking and more direction to focus inward would be great. Thanks for a lovely workout.

Jesse, this practice did feel like a massage and I felt the work in the muscles and ligaments. The result is a state of great relaxation. After a couples of days without yoga, this felt great. Thank you!

Thank you Jesse. I love the concept of using your breath for a massage and your instructions for directing the breath. I feel like I understand more about not pushing too hard to allow prana to flow and using contract relax to enhance the relaxation.
