Love this video! Started doing yoga to prevent injury as I train for a half marathon and then my second full marathon. I suffered from posterior tibial tendonitis, which forced me to cancel a marathon last Fall, and I'm determined not to go through that again! To my delight, the yoga does much more than keep my body healthy. My mind loves it, too. Thank you.

hi colburnsmith. great to hear this practice is complementing your training and recovery. once the tendonitis has subsided, I recommend you explore foot strengthening exercises like the incorporation of pada bandha (foot lock) techniques and even balancing work on a folded towel as these works will bring more intelligent stability in your feet'ankles. namaste, Kreg

Perfect pracice, Kreg! I was having a very emotional day, biked 5 miles, and needed this to ground me back to the present. I feel beautiful and light, at peace now. Namaste :)

I've just started running, and find this practice really great - if I don't do it but stick to the usual stretches my legs still feel like granite columns - but after this flow my mind and body feel in balance and so good,( I shouldn't be surprised... it's the way I feel after each of your classes!) Namaste! Paola

I have been using this video for the last weeks every day. I love it! But today I can't hear your voice Kreg, just the music. Did I do something wrong?

I am training for a marathon in June and undergoing sports massage but my IT band and glutes are a tight, angry mess. I am having great results from the sports massage although it is very difficult. I am going to do this practice tonight and am confident that it will help to balance my strength work and running. Thanks for thinking of us runners!

Hi hikenrungator,
Thanks for your feedback - the other flow that was recently added that can be helpful for runners is Engaging Back Lines ( Namaste, Kreg MYO

hello, kreg and fellow runner/yoga folks...
this and the hip openers video are such nice calming stretchs to calm my legs (and mainly hips.) kreg- i always inner smile when someone refers to squaring the hips...mine are so in their own place (literal, figurative) i don't even know where to start or how to get them home instructor is so generous in either giving a helping hand or letting it go. :)
i love vancouver!
thanks for a lovely video. i will search for more of yours- what is the name of the new practice you have referenced in earlier posts? cheers. dena. :)

mrenkow, posted on November 3, 2011

Simple leg stretches. I felt that pigeon pose and a few hip opening stretches lying down would have made my lower body feel fully stretched out.

Hi Annie/agrandma, thank you for your feedback on this practice ... yes, this practice is ideal pre- or post- running session. Also great for recovery from any other exercise routine. Namaste, Kreg MYO

Hi Everyone, I also recommend Rick's 15 min Hip Flow ( as a great post-run/exercise practice - he nicely works into the IT bands and flushing out the hips. Kreg MYO

I'm happy to see a practice here geared to runners. Looking forward to the other one you're bringing to the site! Thanks

kregweiss, posted on September 18, 2011

Hi Benita/bcblessing, Thank you very much for joining us with this practice. You may also find Engaging Backlines ( as another great post-running yoga practice; besides targeting the hips, thighs, and lower back well, this flow also spends some time stretching the soles of the feet which can be beneficial for preventing plantar fasciitis. Namaste, Kreg MYO

bcblessing, posted on September 18, 2011

The attention to stretching and strength for runners is wonderful. One other issue we often face is less upper body strength. I would enjoy a sequence that reminds us to keep the whole body in mind when we run.
