Yoga for Will Power and Mental Focus

Available worldwide

All yoga should enhance mental focus, however this class incorporates specific pranayam (breathing practices), asana (postures), mudra ("seals"), and mantra (chanting) to achieve this effect. This class with Rick Coe is great for people wanting a practice to ground, discipline and focus the mind & body. The breathing practices, mudras and mantras can be used on their own or in combination with other asana practice.

The solid tone ringing during savasanah completely ruined whatever I achieved during practice.

Nice length, not strenuous. I appreciate it when a teacher includes pranayam and mudras, a rarity! Thank you!

I decided to back through my favorites this morning and settled on this practice again and I'm sure thankful that I did! It was perfect and I was able to connect deeply with my breath and I do feel clear and focused but in a very calm and controlled way! Thank you for this amazing practice and also thank you for starting with the variation in controlled breathing- I had never combined the belly pu,ping with alternate nostril breathing before this video and I really love it! I wil start to incorporate it into my Hatha classes as I really think my students will love the variety and the amazing effects. Namaste

A beautiful practice, definitely one of my favourites! I actually liked the vibration music at the end, it fell over me in beautiful colours. Thank you Rick, Namaste.

One of the best classes I've attended in this website! With respect for the soul and the body. After the class you feel focused, balanced and with peace of mind. The sounds at savasana total tuned me up! Namaste Rick Coe :-)

rawrunna, posted on March 20, 2013

Is part of the focus trying not to hear that irritating humming during savasna? If it is I haven't quite mastered it just yet. I absoilutely love the rest of the practice.

RebeccaO, posted on February 11, 2013

I gotta say I really love this work out! I can't do the breathing part because my allergies always block my airway so much I can't breath through a single nostril. But I adore the balancing because it really forces me to be present in my practice. It's really a lot of fun! :)

Great flow. thank you so much for such detail and clear instructions throughout the practice; however, at the end of practice(corpse pose ), the music becomes too loud; the sound waves hurt my ears.

RICK- you are an outstanding instructor featured on this site, and I know this because I love to do my practice without my contacts or glasses, and your instructions are clear and timed so perfectly that I can simply flow while listening without needing much visual reassurance. Thank you for bringing a deeper awareness to my practice.

I like the pace of the class very much. It is really calm and focused. I could sometimes sense the daily thoughts or issues which bothered me, but I just dropped the thinking and kept following the video. I especially like the end of the class- sitting.

Clarification on Alternate Nostril Breathing with Kapalabhati... The focus is on exhaling forcefully out of each nostril, the inhale automatically follows due to the vacuum created by the exhale and happens in-between blocking the nostrils. Thank you all for your comments, glad the practice has been enjoyable! Namaste!
