Amanda Ruffini

While finishing my Bachelor's degree in Honors English Literature and Philosophy at Concordia University, I also completed a 250hr Yoga Teacher Training program with Yoga Alliance at Ashtanga Yoga Montreal. Whole health has been a fast growing passion of mine, which quickly followed the discovery of yoga three years ago. Since then, I have been on a path to promote whole health and holistic living to anyone who will listen! Growing up in Montreal, QC, I have always been intrigued by the number of people walking around downtown with yoga mats and yoga wear, and slowly witnessing this number increase over the years. I'm so grateful to be part of the enthusiasm for holistic living that has slowly been overtaking the city. Although I have not had opportunities to travel to other cities and experience how yoga is received in different parts of the world, it is one of my top aspirations. My experience in my YTT program was so rewarding and inspirational that I am encouraged now more than ever to study at as many studios as possible in as many cities as possible, to learn more about, and share the experience of, yoga. Despite being attracted to the diversity of people who live in cities and the hustle of daily life, I genuinely enjoy coming home to a calm and quiet environment. I enjoy being away from technology and mass media which is why I do not have any personal websites, Facebook accounts, twitter accounts, or any other social network that exists out there. Joining MYO is one of the biggest steps I have taken to joining an online community! It has been incredibly rewarding given that this is the best means of sharing my passion and experience of yoga and everything it has done for me! Namaste. Website:
