Douglas is an international performer of Butoh, Odissi and theater and a teacher of Hatha Yoga. He began teaching Yoga to people of all ages in 1999 and is a graduate of the Samadhi Yoga Teacher Training Program. Drawing from a background in Butoh (a meditative form of contemporary Japanese dance) and Odissi (classical Indian dance with roots in Tantrik Yoga), his classes emphasize cooperation with the breath, the cultivation of comfort and stability in the body, and challenging coordination and mental focus practices. He leads a kind of dynamic meditation adapted to the needs of individuals. He has been teaching yoga at 8 Limbs Yoga www.8limbsyoga.com since 1999 and also taught at Samadhi Yoga www.samadhiyoga.com from 2000 to 2010. Douglas also taught both Yoga & Butoh as a guest teacher at the Evergreen State College www.evergreen.edu in 2006, 2007 , 2010 and 2011.
