Emily Millen

Emily is a talented and inspiring teacher who has lived and traveled in several countries, and has a passion for culture and yoga. In 2006, she was motivated by her history of competitive figure skating and dance to explore a new form of movement: yoga. Her journey began in LA, where she studied at various studios, including Bikrams Yoga College of India, and Brian Kest's Power Yoga. Since then, yoga has taken her to India to study with Christina Sell, to Thailand, and to Vancouver to complete the three Anusara Immersions, and 200 hour teacher training with Chris Chavez. Emily draws from her many varied experiences, taking the best from each to skillfully weave art into her teaching, with a rich and heartfelt voice. Raw and authentic, what Emily learned at the Randolph Academy of the Arts in Toronto informs her teaching as a journey to the self. She reminds her students that yoga lets you feel again, allowing for a deeper connection to this life. Be ready to peel back the layers, be ready to receive euphoric moments, and be ready to experience culture's past! Emily currently resides in Vancouver, Canada where she shares her passion for teaching across the city. She spends her time tending to her garden, feeding her music and film addiction, writing in her blog, and dancing in the living room to satisfy her creative itch.
