Erin Motz

I am a carniverous, red wine and French cheese loving, traveling yoga instructor and my teaching journey started when I was 17. I took my first yoga class as a senior in high school and just two weeks later my instructor announced that she was leaving. She met me after class that day and told me I should get certified and take it over for her. I almost didn’t do it because I was terrified of speaking in front of people and, let’s not forget, had pretty much no idea what I was doing. Tossing my fear out the window, I went with my gut and jumped at the opportunity. Fast forward 8 years to today: I teach vinyasa flow in Tampa, FL and aim to keep my classes fun and accessible. You won’t hear much Hindu but you’ll probably get plenty of corny jokes, lots of core work, and sweet, delicious deep stretches. Teaching yoga has been one of my greatest pleasures; I practice to feed my teaching, but I teach to feed my life.  When I’m not on my mat, you can find me writing for My Yoga Online, MindBodyGreen, Huffington Post, Elephant Journal, Yoganonymous, and DiveIn Tampa Bay.
