Natalie Rousseau-Horscroft RYT
My name is Natalie Rousseau-Horscroft and I am an Anusara-InspiredTM Yoga Teacher as well as an E-RYT 500 registered with the Yoga Alliance. I have been studying yoga since 2000 and have been teaching full time since 2002. I have been fortunate enough to study with many amazing teachers such as Tim Miller, Shiva Rea, Donna Farhi, Christina Sell, Noah Maze, Robin Golt, Chris Chavez and John Friend as well as local Vancouver teachers Shakti Mhi and Fiona Stang. In 2009 I opened Pacific Elements Yoga School, which is a Yoga Teacher Training School in Tofino BC where I live with my husband and son. Besides yoga I am a passionate student of Ayurveda and have recently begun to study Neelakantha meditation with Paul Muller Ortega. When I am not practicing, studying, or teaching you can find me on the beach with my dogs or in my kitchen cooking up a storm. Why do I teach yoga? I teach yoga because I believe in it's power to heal and transform. Until I stepped onto the yoga mat for the first time I couldn’t envision a future without self-doubt, grief and fear. What I discovered in my very first yoga class was a practice that gave me a sense of perspective and hope, a practice that gave me faith in myself, and my ability to change. I have been a dedicated student of yoga since that day, and for the last ten years I have been pouring my heart into teaching yoga and sharing what I have learned with my students. It is one of my greatest honors in life to support others in discovering the thrill of self-empowerment that yoga promises.
