Troy Hadeed

While his Asana practice only began in 2003, the underlying teachings of ‘living yoga’ have been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. Troy has had the honor of furthering his study, practice, and teaching under the guidance of amazing teachers like Ted Grand, Jess Robertson, Ryan Leier, Schuyler Grant, Baron Baptiste, Seane Corn, Eugene & Jesse Poku, Srivatsa Ramaswami, Ft. Joe Piererira, and H.S Arun. Troy has come to understand that the practice of yoga as a practice that transcends physical postures or any other box we are tempted to put it into. He views the practice as a ‘training ground’ of sorts where through intimate and intentional focus we deepen our relationship to mind, breath, and our understanding of God.

As a ‘yoga teacher,’ Troy intends to share a depth of practice that embodies a form of prayer and allows every practitioner to connect to something beyond the physical aspects of the practice. Furthermore, he aims to continuously create a space that is accessible to all—regardless of their faith, age, or physical limitations. With mindful and intentional movements, Troy brings an intimate and powerful dimension to today’s yoga class that helps bridge the gap between the pure essence of Yoga and today’s disconnected world.

“I have always said that if I did not believe the practice of Yoga increased our capacity to love, and reconnected us to the God of our own understanding, that I would walk away from it immediately.”

In October 2023 Troy released his first book, My Name Is Love: We’re Not All That Different. He is excited about his future as an author and regardless of the genre of his writing he intends, as with all things, to remain committed to his messaging and focus which lies at the root of Yoga Practice and is often forgotten: Love & God.
