channeling [ chan-l-ing ] : a means of communicating with any consciousness that is not in human form by allowing that consciousness to express itself through the channel (or channeler); an act of bilocation Communicating with beings in the form of channeling has existed since the times of Atlantis and Lemuria and likely for millennia before that. From the ancient Egyptian temples of the Goddess Hathor, to the Oracles of Greece, humans have been receiving "downloads" of information from beyond. In the early part of the 20th century Edgar Cayce channeled over 14,000 messages in an unconscious trance state, messages as varied as diagnosing illnesses, to revealing past lives and future prophecies. It is said that those who followed his guidance in accordance with his instructions were almost all healed of their maladies. More recently in the 1960s and 70s, profound messages were received by channeler Jane Roberts from the entity known as "Seth". In them Seth coined the phrase, "You create your own reality." In the 80s, a group of beings identifying itself simply as "Ra" came through the channel Carla Rueckert and were transcribed into the 5-part book series known as the "Law of One". Now it is widely accepted in new age spiritual circles that we are all part of one infinite consciousness. Channelers Daryl Anka, Shiela Gillette, and Magenta Pixie are known for their active channelings of Bashar, THEO, and the Nine, respectively. Where do these messages come from . . . ?
