It’s via the kingdom’s coasts that prosperity is about to finally arrive. It’s been a long road, in a country ravaged by wars that spilled over from neighboring Vietnam and by the brutal genocide of the Khmer Rouge. Today communism is a thing of the past, and an emerging bourgeoisie plans to develop the tourist potential of the outstanding natural beauty of the still undeveloped coasts.
