Biologist Vic VanBallenberghe has spent more time living with wild moose than anyone in the world. So much time in fact that he was absent for much of the childhood of his only son. Determined to learn more about the father he hardly knows, Vic’s son, documentary filmmaker Jonathan VanBallenberghe, chronicles a season of his father’s research at Denali National Park in Alaska. While capturing the most extensive and up-close HD footage of moose ever caught on film and learning about this majestic animal, Jonathan recognizes the magnificence of Vic’s life work, and a gap is bridged between father and son.
