Guelph University has a series of themed gardens that demonstrate a range and variety of different garden styles. One of them is its Zen Buddhism garden, the David D. Porter Memorial Japanese Garden. This garden provides an enclosed and contemplative space. It is a place to get away from the complexities of one’s daily life and enter into one’s own being. Entering the garden is like setting upon a journey away from the ordinary and into a deeply contemplative space. Follow along with Grahame as he explores the Zen Buddhist garden and discovers its secrets that give this space a deeply relaxing place for relaxation, contemplation and meditation.
