Debra Ponzek is an internationally acclaimed chef who was Executive Chef at New York City's Montrachet restaurant and is credited with its seven years of three-star status. In 1995, she opened Aux Delices Foods, an enormously successful specialty retail food chain in Connecticut which offers up Debra's culinary creations, company-branded products and a broad range of specialty food products. Her flair for crafting the quintessential fête, from large-scale parties to intimate weddings and special events, has become Debra's hallmarks.
She entered university, majoring in Engineering only to appease her parents. She soon dropped out after realizing that cooking was her true passion. A turbulent marriage may have made her part of a power couple of the food world, but Debra was still desperately unhappy. Realizing that the city and the marriage were not for her, she headed to charming Connecticut and started Aux Delices. Now, balancing an empire and three young children, she has never been happier.
