Future Technology, Today with Charles Ostman

The technology of the future may be closer than you think and we may need it to ensure the continuity of our species. We are crossing an evolutionary threshold where the boundary between science fiction and science fact is blurring. Cautionary tales of a dystopian future paint a picture where humanity is oppressed by technological overlords. However, Charles Ostmann sees a different future where nanotechnology, artificial telepathy and artificial intelligence may be essential to surviving an imminent planetary catastrophe as discussed in this interview with George Noory.

Charles Ostman is a senior fellow at the Institute for Global Futures and serves with the management team of Fourth Venture. He is also chair of the NanoElectronics and Photonics Forum of NanoSig., senior consultant with Silicon Valley Nano Ventures, and serves on the scientific advisory board of Legendary Pharmaceuticals. . Charles has 25+ years experience in the fields of electronics, materials science, computing and artificial intelligence, including eight years at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory at the University of California, Berkeley, and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
