We join installation artist, Diana Lynn Thompson, while she works in the Great Bear Rainforest. There is a human presence in much of her work and she explains the importance of making people feel at home and connected with the land that they come from.
A recurring theme in her work is ephemerality. She attempts to express this by showing the fragility of things. She is interested in doing art that does no harm. Working in miniature helps the imagination take over, it is not so literally. Engaging the imagination helps to become more a part of the work, for the artist and the audience.
