A group of peaks in the north-western park of Nepal, called the Kanjiroba Himal, has been the obsession John Tyson for over 40 years. A modest school master, by profession, he returned to the Himalayas, again and again. His quest was to venture where no one had dared to explore in order to map uncharted territory.
The risk of such exploits can be great, even leading to the ultimate price. However, in 1961 John faced these risks in an expedition to this remote region. In 1998 at 70 years old, he returned to the peak of Kanjiroba Himal, for the last time.
