We join Luc Beauparlant at his home and studio in La Minerve, Quebec. He tells about the importance of caring for the land and being a "leaver" instead of a "taker." We watch as he gathers materials from the forest while explaining the deeper meanings behind his artworks.
His current project comes from inspiration received in a dream. He is building a sauna-like construction he calls The Belly of the Whale. All the while, he waxes philosophical about the spiritual nature of his work. His works need to be captivating to the viewing public, yet, environmentally sustainable.
