We are in the badlands of the Milk River area with Jane Ash Poitras. She points out kachinas and other points of interest on the landscape while explaining some of the history of the native peoples. As we view some of her artworks, she tells us of her composition style. From plants to ancient constructions, all of them make their way into her compositions.
Next we travel to Fort Chip where she tells us of her childhood growing up here and returning as an adult. She tells more of the ways of the native people and how it works into her art. Finally, we join her in her studio as she pulls pieces together in a collage of paintings and found objects.
