Nocturnal Birds of Prey

Iberian Reserve
S1:Ep1324 mins2006Guest: Robert Paterson

In both urban and rural regions of the Iberian Reserve, there exists nature’s most efficient ecological exterminators: nocturnal birds of prey. Some species like the Tawny Owl, hunt successfully along the forest floor, while other species require human intervention in order to survive. Vital to the control of micro-mammal populations, we regard these predatory birds with respect and make every effort to protect them.
