We join painter David Alexander at the Irish Loop in New Foundland, Canada. He loves travelling to see new vistas and landscapes. He feels some of the most striking landscape is on the east coast. As we view some of his works, he tells us of his history and what drives him to find the perfect landscape. After forty years of painting, he is still motivated to paint landscapes, but he tries to shake things up.
We walk with him as he treks across some dramatic landscapes. Then we sit and talk about his sensibilities and techniques as he makes some sketches. Finally, we come to his studio as he gathers his ideas and begins to create his paintings. He reveals some of his recent paintings and shares what he is trying to convey in them.
