The life mission of Maori elder Dr. Rangimarie Turuki Rose Pere has been to preserve and perpetuate the wisdom of the Maori Way and their uniquely respectful relationship to all living things.

One trait that Pere says is prized among their people is their historical ability to use sight and intuition to navigate through life. Her book, Te Wheke: A Celebration Of Infinite Wisdom, is an introduction to Maori teachings, which go back over 12,000 years.

Rose’s consultancy, Ao Ako, focuses on global learning, and she is a Director of the Four Winds Foundation – an international body that works with indigenous and non-indigenous people.
