We join artist Jeane Fabb as she is creating a work on a frozen lake in La Macaza. She explains that winter is long in Canada and it is a time of contemplation and inner hibernation. We view some photographs of her works as she relates her history and how her works suggests a deep connection with the land and the human body. As we watch her working, she shares her relationship with the landscape and the ongoing dialog that inspires her work.
The current work is to create large pieces on frozen lakes using the snow and ice readily available. She is trying to capture the importance of respecting the limited resources that are rapidly dwindling. This respect comes from building a gentle connection with the landscapes.
